Now comes one of my least favorite Coldplay tracks...I never liked Yes because it is based on an orientalistic cliche, and also tbh I'm a bit uncomfortable with Chris's vocals and the lyrics

Not too attracted to this track, but It's pretty good I guess. Not anything too special about it outside of the creative string usage and the drumbeat is quite creative at times as well...

Why I didn't pay attention to the acoustic guitar before??? It starts so good!!!

I dont know others...but I think a lot of guys can relate to this song *LOL*

hahaa! speak for the guys, girls, maybe not so much...

Davide does a great violin interlude :)

IMO this is my least fav off of Viva. But still pretty good. Although it is one my least favorite Coldplay tracks... interesting. Still really like it... I should have voted for AyF later in the massive elimination thread. It's worse than this. I actually like this a little more now that I get the chance to really listen to it.

Love those Arabic-sounding violins!

Great vocals by Chris here...and great violins

I like how Chris played with his voice to make the song sound different to the rest

I´ve become so tired of this loneliness...

I only used to play this certain track for CSC; I might end up listening to Yes a bit more in the future

One problem I find with this track is that it doesn't change much. There's not really much to catch your attention in this track, and that's why I like many Coldplay tracks, they have something that keeps you interested. This is more of a "lean back and enjoy" track which is good, but Coldplay have certainly done better.

does anyone else half wish that the live ending was included on the recorded version? that has such an amazing energy to it..

Chinese Sleep Chant!!

yes it was one of Brian Eno experiments if I recall, to have him sing away from his usual falsetto. And I remember his teacher apparently told him back then she liked his voice when it was low too hehe

Chinese Sleep Chant is probably my favorite hidden track.....so rocky!!

Chinese Sleep Chant!

here's to chinese sleep chant!!! more like these please!

CHINESE!!!! :)

Seemingly unsatisfied? LOL

The guitar in the intro is so awesome like :D The song gets much better as it goes on as well which I like...
