The drumming in Daylight, and the mad driving guitar...

Interestingly, I never listen to this song on its own, just in the context of the entire AROBTTH album.

yeah I am the same, I don't know exactly why that is though but it really does have a pretty good spot within this album

Same!

Makes me think of standing atop a mountain at sunrise...I'm afraid of heights so not gonna happen, but...is it over now? Im' at Chris's intro to Trouble.

exactly. I feel in AROBTTH everything has an amzazing flow, it feels like one amazing work and not a compilation of songs (ahem, X&Y, I'm lookinh at you)

@antdrew off the top of my head, i'm not even sure if they've played it outside of AROBTTH era

damn :/ Loving Chris's speeches though, first time I've heard this one (really need to buy the proper live2003 dvd album. Trouble is another amazing song

I have a bootleg disc of an X&Y Era concert in Copenhagen lying right next to my computer, and Daylight is on the tracklist :)

Trouble, one of my favorites!

I noticed that it is possible to sing ''slowly breaking through the daylight'' in Trouble :D

X&Y was the first coldplay album I listened through properly from start to finish and it took me ages before I wanted to stop listening it to listen to other albums of coldplay... So I can't hate on X&Y ahahaha. Even if it isn't as nicely woven, the songs in X&Y definitely have their own spacey, electronic kinda feeling which I really love.

Trouble... the first song I've ever heard from them... this one will always have a special meaning to me

They spun a weeeebbbb for me

My life story....hurting people when I don't mean to. Love the "living life in a bubble". That's what I feel like in these Listening Parties. Life stops!

You

LOL in what part ?

should try it during the instrumental parts (like the beginning of the song) and if Chris has his piano solos

Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE X&Y, I can't even sy how much it means to me ! But I think the individual songs, which are all very strong "hits" in their own right, just don't have a good flow together in that album. That fast-slow-fast-slow-song pattern is not a good choice imho.

You hurting people ?

You're such a kind person, I cannot believe that ! Maybe people just don't understand...

one I love - I Ran Away reminds me of a certain other thread!

yeah that's a good point. Then there's viva which I believe has the most amazing order of songs. Like you listen to it from start to finish and feel like you've gone on a journey

IT's gonna tear us apart, love, or keep us together....
