One thing I could always do, just lay in my bed, open the window, look at the sky, and play TKC. Perfect song for that stuff. And right now, it's a perfect day too, relatively mild so I could open the window as well, and not one cloud in the sky. :)

Yes I like a few songs by them as well, but I must admit seeing their behaviour during this Super Bowl really left me with a bad taste in my mouth in terms of who they are as people/artists. Not my cup of tea, though the music can be good and they are great performers

 

Yeah, it kind of sucks because now Coldplay's up on stage with artists who are known as pop acts. This album was a really good throwback to the days of Coldplay where they'd never do that. Not to say I don't like either of their music because I definetely do like it, but I'd much rather for them to play a couple songs off this very album any day over them getting up on stage with Beyonce and Mars. Speaking of that, they play way not enough songs from their old days now! Masterpieces have been left behind that definetely deserve more recognition. And it just makes it worse, now that we know that the whole request thing was false... (or was it? Any updates on that? Because I'm still not entirely sure.)

Indeed. Its clear by now to me that Parachutes IS the odd album in Coldplay catalogue, while Oldplayers might think its what defines Coldplay haha They were certainly more alternative in the earlier albums than they are now, but I don't exclude that they might make a comeback to that in the future...Once you come full circle, you are likely to go back too :)

Uh??? Lol that was never my concern. I may have created this thread but it really belongs to all of us who want to participate.

I wrote that cuz I thought it'd make it easier for you to gather them here instead of opening a separate thread. And moreover so that your/ the new comments will be part of/continuation of the x &y comments here so people wanting to revisit the party (there has been interest about making it easy to jump to the beginning of each listening party comments) will also find your comments and not them having to be separated somewhere else.

 

But if you still wanna have a separate thread I want to then add a link to it next to the X&Y one (whenever I put links on each of the listening parties). So it's up to you. It won't affect me either way :)
