It’s just been announced that the band will form an exclusive, intimate show for SiriusXM at a a secret U.S. location, on Sunday, August 7. The performance will air live on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum channel. The private performance will air live to SiriusXM subscribers on Sunday, August 7 on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum, channel 28, and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com. Said the band: “This feels like the perfect time to play this special show for SiriusXM listeners. Someone just needs to tell us the secret location and we’ll be there.” SiriusXM subscribers who have had an account since June 28 will have the exclusive opportunity to enter to win tickets to Coldplay’s private August 7 SiriusXM performance beginning July 19. The announcement prompted speculation that the band would play at Montauk's Surf Lodge, which recently reinstated its concert series after a music license snafu delayed the start of its summer music season. But Steve Kasuba, a Surf Lodge spokesman, said Wednesday that the Coldplay show would not take place there; a band called Bob Moses is scheduled for that day. My cousins had a house out there for 35 some odd years and that's where we would go see bands but it is pretty small or The Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays.
