Actually, we only do one play a year as well. Well one musical, and it's the all-school-show. The juniors and seniors from a class called Theatre Seminar put on a drama in the spring.

The play I'm in now is at an all-boys school and they need girls to try out for it. Like I go to an all-girls school and guys from other schools auditioned for ours.

Our school doesn't have that much money either, but we have a strong fashion program and if we don't rent costumes, we usually end up having the fashion students create the costumes from old costumes and scrap material and whatnot.

 

It's really cool and I'm lucky to be in this school where we do three major productions during the year and one musical every year. :D Except our director sucks, so we win some and lose some.

Oh yes, we did use a few costumes from previous years. We also got a couple parents to pitch in and make costumes and I must say I was very impressed. Some of the costumes were good, and then some of them were okay. I'm sure I have pics somewhere, but I'm having a hard time finding them. :P

 

We had a director that made is work very hard, which I liked because I became more familiar with both the Cast and the play itself.
