^ I'd agree with that except I'd replace Mr. Brightside with Read My Mind, When You Were Young, or Sweet Talk. Choosing the top 3 Killers songs is so difficult! :bomb:

^ Sweet Talk should have been a radio single.

Agree! I think it was my favourite from Sawdust.

I think my top three would have to be (in no order):

- When You Were Young

- All These Things That I've Done

- A Dustland Fairytale

Ahhh tough decision though! :bomb:

Top 3 for me would be Sweet Talk, A Dustland Fairytale, and Read My Mind. They are just classics that I still love no matter how many times I hear them.

That might be might top 3, too.

Any particular album? Or just in general?

Hot Fuss. I considered putting Sam's Town on but decided against it.

They're band that's good and catchy enough that they must be taken in moderation, kind of my attitude towards coldplay and radiohead these days. I only devote time to one of their albums maybe once a month, but I always thoroughly enjoy it.

Hot Fuss usually feels refreshing to me when I listen to it. But it's been a while.

I can't stop listening to the Royal Albert Hall live album. The Killers are at their best when they are live. Songs like Bling, All These Things That Ive Done, Sam's Town, etc. take on a whole different dynamic when played live. I think Ronnie is the 2nd most important member of The Killers. He pushes them when they play live.

Sam's Town sounds excellent live. And so does Sweet Talk.

Yeah, I am angry they cut Sweet Talk from the cd. I've only heard it live once (at a talk show, oddly enough), and it's fantastic. That's the moment I fell in love with that song, especially the ending.

Yeah, the live version truly is special.

I love him, he is truly the best

Yeah it's a pity the cut Sweet Talk from the past tour and only played it a couple of times. I was lucky to catch it three times in the summer 2008, when they toured before Day & Age release, and people really loved it.

Yes!

They completely blew my mind when I saw them earlier this year! Songs that I liked, but just liked on their albums seemed to take on a whole new meaning seeing them live.

Agreed! The song is so catchy and I love the lyrics.

I wish I saw them while they were touring :disappointed: I feel like I missed a lot

This, too!

my order would be:

1) A Dustland Fairytale - the video and the version from the Letterman show always make me cry. :D this song is just so beautiful.

2) All These Things That I've Done

3) When You Were Young

Few months ago, everyday I would plead to my friend to watch the Royal Albert Hall DVD and give her links of clips from the DVD from youtube. Then I stopped after a weeks because she's just too busy with other things. Then last month, she texted me saying that she has become an official The Killers fan after she finally watched the DVD--ate least the first 1st hour of it and When We Were Young at the end. :D:D:D

Did you hear? From Facebook:

The Killers: To all our US and Canadian fans, Brandon Flowers' first solo single "Crossfire" is up on iTunes starting today. For those of you outside the US/Canada and UK keep checking iTunes.

Of course they tell me that THE DAY AFTER I blew my iTunes account on new music. Figures :dozey:

Anyway, I was a bit surprised considering this was the first time they've updated their page since April.

And yesterday was Brandon's birthday!

YAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVEN THOUGH IT'S LATE! :awesome:

The Killers announce plans to play special 4th Of July concert at the White House

The Killers have been invited by US President Barack Obama to perform at the White House tomorrow (July 4) to honour US troops.

The band, who are currently on a hiatus, will make a special appearance on the South Lawn for the 'Salute To The Military' United Service Organizations Concert.

"It is a monumental honour for us to be a part of this 4th of July celebration at the White House," said lead singer Brandon Flowers.

"We could never repay the service men and women of this country for their contributions and sacrifice. To perform for them and their families on America’s birthday will be our pleasure."

The show will be streamed live on the White House's website tomorrow. For more information go to http://www.whitehouse.gov.
