I'm hoping they're announcing a new album, but I doubt it would be this soon. Maybe it's more tour dates?

I don't think they'll be touring again for a while (hopefully I'm wrong though :P)

As long as it doesn't mean the end of The Killers, I'm all for it. Brandon's been having a rough time lately, and I'm not sure if the decision to go solo has anything to do with that, but I'm looking forward to it. I like the little sample playing on the website, assuming that's indeed a tease of the album.

Well, since the solo news was posted on The Killer's official site...I think it's safe to say that this is not the end of The Killers, which would really be my only worry. I am looking forward to this album. Even though I am very skeptical of solo stuff, I feel like Brandon could make a great solo album.

I've never been a fan of solo projects while someone is still in a band. If you are going to do a solo project, I think it should at least be something that you really couldn't do in the confines of your own band. Gwen Stefani's solo CDs are a good example.

Haha...I feel the same way. I like band members to bring their creative energy to their band. I still don't think everything's good on the home front with this band. Ronnie is doing a side project, too. Like I've said before, a band this young doesn't need that long of a break. 2 of the 4 band members are already back to making music, its just not with the killers.

I think they need a break, and its a good move. The solo project ensures that the band is still in the spotlight through the 'hiatus' and then they can return with an album of the quality of hot fuss. Whilst I loved day and age, the general consensus was that it was rather average compared to their other album. Looking forward to hearing Brandon's album, he's got a fantastic singing voice.

I will talk shit if his solo project sucks. I say give the guy a chance.
