Yes? Well, it's strange, since frndz and flifil appear at the same time on the album's tracklist...

Sort of like how A Hopeful Transmission, U.F.O., and Mylo Xyloto are all on the same tracklist, I guess they were reprising bits and pieces of the album at certain parts. Certainly explains Jupiter's outro or flifil's intro with NF synths.

Like Rainy Day School, or in another way?

--------

The Coldplay store finally got back to me... The sent me the wrong files once again. This time I told them in no uncertain terms to send me the WAVS for the Tour Edition or to give me my money back.

I asked for a refund for the Full Moon download. They processed it quite quickly.Β

Not sure if this has been pointed out already, but the beginning of 🌈 has the first lyrics of The Karate Kid. I am sure there are even more references for upcoming songs in this one.

Edit: There is also a snippet of Man in the Moon after NF.Β

With the booklet it makes a lot more sense:Β

Therefore we have The Karate Kid, then NF after that the high pitched vocals are Sunshine. Opus 5 is the acoustic guitar and after the Man in the Moon we have M.U.S.I.C.Β

I believe this proofs that Sunshine is not Shine On. We are also still missing Luna and Aiko. There is definitely enough material for an EP.Β

It would be curious if they released an EP called "Alien Hits" with those 7 songs that appear there. This way we would have that simplified version on the album that mixes the 7 and then on the EP we would have them developed.

It think the Full Moon edition shoots that theory down, which is a shame as it would've made a really interesting EP.Β

imo they may still do it.Β Since the physical release of the bonus tracks was just limited to US, they may still release a physical EP worldwide with all the rainbow tracks.

Whatever they do in any case, I just hope we will be able to listen to all the songs (including shine on and a final version for 2 aliens, of course !)

I agree, but it would be nice to publish all they left out from the albums on the last five years. I guess theyΒ΄ll keep it for the next/last two albums.

Hmmm. This version is pitched up and it ruins the piece for me. Also, the version on Spotify is almost a minute shorter than the version on YouTube.

I've used the iTunes version to make my own pitched down version which sounds closer to how it is in Moon Music, but it isn't perfect. If people like it enough I'll buy the song in FLAC and make a better version.

I love it! But I am not picky about file types tbh. (Most of my songs are mp3s)

Also I made a MOTS pumpkin for halloween this year! I also made the top of the pumpkin the a flower of life from AHFOD but it kind of sucks. I forgot you could use pencil on pumpkins and still see it so I used sharpie which didn't help

Anyway here are some pictures (I took several because it was hard to see some details in each one)

Here's the FLAC version. It's a slightly higher pitch than before because I think I went too low. It isn't perfect, there seems to be a bit of phasing. I believe either Moon Music or Forever Held, or both, change pitch during the song itself as there are some points where my version of Forever Held was at a higher pitch than Moon Music, and then it was lower a little bit later.

The file has completely incorrect metadata thanks to Audacity and I couldn't be bothered to fix it, but I'm sure we'll survive.

Edit: Turns out Coldplaying has a hard cap on how many attachments you can send across the entire site, and I just reached that cap. There's seemingly no way of deleting them without deleting entire posts and messages, so for now here's a Dropbox link to both the FLAC and MP3 versions:Β https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/2jo3dgbpugi8ay0z7npc9/AAghM5fk5v4Y1GzjrV0eMDs?rlkey=2coel5od3idznfdzs3o8ahdn5&st=m3gquph0&dl=0

I only now ever drop in when a new album is released (though it's a habit I do try to change).Β

When I was last here,Β Music Of The SpheresΒ was released, and I hated it. Still do, it still stands as my least favourite.

This one?

I'm really surprised - i really like it.Β

It's only been one listen but what is standing out for me is the gorgeous use of lush strings, but the choir vocals.Β

Although it's a sequel album and does carry some of the faults of its predecessor, there's just something more balanced about it. Experimental, modern, and lively, but also drenched in atmosphere which is something their last album was really lacking. I really like this one, and I didn't expect to. I'm glad I stuck around.Β

It seems as though my Star Trek movie theory for this band persists: every second album is fantastic.Β

Best of all, the guys are in my hometown this week so there's a lot of love for Coldplay at the moment among my friends and colleagues, so i picked a good day to pick this one up.Β

If the rule of Star Trek has a say, their next one will be shite.

Until then, off to listen toΒ Songs Of A Lost World.Β

MOTS the Musical is set to be the worst album of all time at this rate

But Self Titled could be the best so stay excited

Why is MOTS the Musical going to be bad?! I am unaware of any new-ish information regarding this album. Also outside of the fact that we know Self Titled is going to be Oldplay styled is there any info on why it could be the best?
