I really like the video actually. Works really well for the song, makes it seem almost bearable. Don't think I'd want to listen to the song without the video though.

I agree with that. The Strawberry Swing video was amazingly made and looked great etc etc but was a total mismatch between song and video. I really liked the video actually, it even made the song seem bearable. Would watch again.

I just laughed at the idea Will doesn't own a set of drums.

I'm still having doubts about ever hearing this song properly. I can't help but feel they've decided to drop it.

Not huge on Moving To Mars to be honest. Major Minus is my favourite from the EP.

I don't like Yellow and X&Y is my second favourite album from them. So sue me. Major Minus in the studio is OK. Not great. Better than ETIAW but that's not saying a lot.

I also preferred the live version but I wouldn't go to the extremes that some people have. I'd say live version 8/10 and studio version 6/10. So about a 7 overall. The vocals don't really bother me that much, but something about the overall production has really sucked the life and energy out of the song. Still a million times better than ETIAW though.

I like this idea. Will have a lovely voice.

I would say Alligator is probably their least depressing overall. Though it does contain some very sad moments - Val Jester is hard to listen to sometimes just because of the pure emotion - it's also got almost all of their most fun, upbeat and energetic tracks such as Lit Up, Abel and Mr. November.

If Major Minus really IS a b-side and ETIAW is on the album (which it almost certainly will be) then they've got those two songs badly mixed up. It should be the other way round, surely.

At this stage I'm fairly certain all the new songs apart from Princess Of China will be on the record. As with POC, it's hard to tell but it does seem odd they're not playing that song as often as the other ones.

I still love High Violet as much as I did the first time I listened to it. I thought it was the perfect record and my opinion hasn't changed. Looking at my top 10 list over again though is fairly sad for the most part. I haven't listened to most of those albums in ages, and don't want to.

I've read a lot of people saying this information is bullshit because The Oracle has said they haven't finished working on the album yet. This reminds me of when Bloc Party claimed they were still hard at work on their third album and it wouldn't be released until the end of the year. A week later they dropped Intimacy, for download off their website. They've then admitted in several interviews since that they intentionally "lied through their teeth" in order to mislead the fans. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen here. It most probably wont. But I'm saying we shouldn't rule it out completely as a possibility.

I was a bit of a Vines fan back in the day, but they've progressed so little musically since then. I don't even bother with the newer records.

I love both Foals records, but they are both completely blown away by their live show imo. One of the best I'd ever seen.

Charlie Brown, and Major Minus as a close second. Princess Of China sounds promising but I can't judge it due to a lack of good quality recordings of it.
