Paradise and ETIAW are the only ones I've genuinely enjoyed, really.

MX is great live for sure. Charlie Brown, UATW, and ETIAW are amazing in particular. However, the more I think about it, the more I enjoy the crafting of VLVoDAAHF. To me, a measure of how "hard" a band is working is whether I could write the songs that they wrote. Sometimes I feel like if I did all the write things, I wouldn't have a hard time churning out HLH or whatever. But when I think about VLV songs - they just make me go, "HOW ON EARTH DID THEY THINK OF THAT?!?!?!" In particular, Yes, 42, Violet Hill, Strawberry Swing and DAAHF really elicit that feeling. They're so musically intricate - the chord progressions, the meter and rhythm, lyrics. Maybe that makes them a bit more esoteric, but at the same time these are still songs that are so catchy and good live.

The Blues King shows up sometimes though - TKC at Madrid, COL, Will on some performances of ETIAW, etc.

Really? I thought they sounded great........ The only fault from UATW was that Chris fudged the guitar at one point after the 1st chorus. Moreover, I'm very very happy that they played the album version intro, which they've not done before. It's funny because R42 tweeted they were trying it with a new intro months ago...and now they've done it!

So....no Strawberry Swing or 42?

I'm expecting a second leg but not till after a big rest in November, as other posters have noted how much live stuff they've done in the last year.

Theory: this is an elaborate publicity stunt to get more people to listen to this other band. :p The lower register of Chris and this guy sound quite similar though!

Once is enough, but I agree about their voices. The only real issue I have with POC is that it's slightly overproduced.
