I've heard of one who's called 'Hoppy', I think he is Chris' roadie if I remember correctly. There's a funny story concerning him when the whole tour group tried to enter Canada via the US. It seems customs / immigration were suspicious he might be bringing in weed or something coz he had a pack of cigarettes and detained them at the border for three hours to conduct a thorough search, whereas a guy carrying a gun was allowed to stroll through :lol: And last I heard, Jonny's roadie is a friend from way back... Mike or something. :) This was all way back in their Parachutes & AROBTTH tours, dunno whether they're still the same ones ;) I got my info from one of the biographies "Look At The Stars". I think it's unofficial but all the info's pretty accurate. And yes, the roadies are a hilarious group and the band are pretty alright with them expressing their opinions e.g. when performances are somewhat off :P

Nettie just read your review, it was lovely... thanks for sharing :) I just spotted a bit about Chris singing descant in 'Don't Panic', ‘All I ever wanted, all I ever needed was here in my arms/Words are very unnecessary, they can only do harm’ Actually the lyrics are from a song by Depeche Mode - 'Enjoy The Silence'. :) I was looking at the lyrics and they seemed familiar, then I started singing it and realised it was the song!

I know it looks terrible but these kind of things happen in many places all over the world. The difference is how bad the situation actually gets and whether the incidents get international news coverage. I guess part of the reason it seems so bad is because Australia takes it as a big issue and the riots were unexpected. Not to say it isn't a big thing (coz it is), but at least the Aussie government is taking it seriously (as it always has) and does not tolerate racism in any way, which is a lot more than what many governments in the world can vouch for :rolleyes:

So just to summarise, the number of overs is already pre-set for each test series (i.e. usually it's 50 x 5 days =250), and there are two bowlers per team who alternate every 2 bowls (i.e. overs) right? Btw, there are only 2 teams right? If so how do the wickets and the innings come in? Is it that at any one stage, the batting team has __ wickets left; and if the whole team have already been bowled out twice then they're at 3rd innings? Yeah, I realised a while back that cricket's not boring at all after watching Bend It Like Beckham (how that is, go figure :rolleyes: :lol:) though I still have no clue at all how it's played. It's Amsterdam for me then... So many good memories re-ignited :pleased: :lol: I'd like to agree. But you know, it's actually got more than the apparently sodden lyrics... I just so couldn't get past that & the fact that it sounds like one big Westlife singalong... :rolleyes: But if you can open your heart to it a little bit... there's quite a bit of emotion going on in there, almost as intense as Amsterdam.

Yes well Radiohead are this kind of band who you either incredibly like or incredibly hate from the first time you listen to them. I'm a convert. Apart from KidA/Amnesiac. Actually, I don't think most people liked KidA when it was first released. I agree with RA-D. I'm a convert too. Took me 2 years + X&Y before I could finish Kid A and appreciate what musical geniuses they are. And I'm still figuring out what they're all about... I'm learning a new aspect about them musically everyday.
