Anyone up for a vote on the best fan picture from a concert? Anyone organize those things? I just think Honey's is so great! I nominate hers! I don't know how to load a picture, even after all this time, so just go look at the "Fav Coldplay Pics" thread and check out the pics there. Oh, nevermind, god this is lame.

It's almost 10 years since the release of Urban Hymns, The Verve's gargantuan, 7 million-selling masterpiece. It's an album whose key songs still attract superlatives. Introducing Richard Ashcroft onstage at Live 8 in July 2005, Coldplay's Chris Martin desribed Bittersweet Symphony as "probably the best song ever written." Coldplay's performance of the track - with Ashcroft on vocals - was a high point of the London Live 8 show, and marked Ashcroft's return to action after two years of silence. You can tell from his impassioned delivery here just how excited he is to be back on stage. A year later the singer seemed to go off the rails - in June 2006 he was fined fo…

Was the AROBTTH Tour Book similar to the Twisted Logic Tour Book/Programme? I do not have 1 and desperately want one! The official site shop does not have any, I don't suppose anyone here has a spare lying around lol.

When we saw Coldplay at Glastonbury in 1999, they were unknown and unsigned, at the bottom of the bill in the New Bands Tent. A mere three years later, they have become Michael Eavis’ favourite band and were hotly tipped to leave Glastonbury 2002 with the sort of legacy that adorn the houses of Pulp, REM, Travis and The Chemical Brothers for historic performances on the Pyramid Stage. That’s a lot of pressure, but as the power chords of new opener ‘Politik’ blasted out, it looked like they might just pull it off. Coldplay toured for over a year, from June 2002 to September 2003, visiting five continents including co-headlining festival dates at Glastonbury Festival, V…

I was browsing YouTube and found this comment underneath the video of Talk in the Radio 1 Live Lounge: "The whole way through the tour, Jonny would sabotage Guy's bass, and at the final concert Guy saw Jonny do it and they got tangled up haha. I love Coldplay". Is this a well documented fact that I've completely missed or is anybody else unaware of Jonny's acts of espionage?

Didn't anybody record any of the other concerts besides the really bad-sounding recording from Santiago, Chile 02/16/07? I find it hard to believe that this was the only recording that somebody did there.

Good news for european Coldplay Fans. The german TV Program "3Sat" will broadcast the Toronto 2006 Concert on January 1st, 2007. Air Time will be 1.30 am (CET -1). Looks like the broadcast will take approx. 1 hour (3Sat does not have advertising). You can receive 3Sat on Astra Satellite (19,2 East) and on german cabel networks. the channel is usually unencrypted, and broadcasts on digital transponder. (Link-> http://www.3sat.de/poparoundtheclock_index.html) By the way, 3sat will broadcast a lot concerts on that day (U2, Depeche Mode, etc.). Can't wait for new years day ;-) cheers Markus

I have a thought... I have seen coldplay live twice now, in the AROBTTH tour in 03 and in the twisted logic tour this year and here's what i think: i think the AROBTTH album is so well produced and performed that the songs don't sound so good when played live (except for daylight) but on the other hand i think the X&Y and parachutes songs improve when played live (for example fix you and talk or trouble and sparks). What do you guys think???
