I was just watching the Shaun of the Dead extras and Jonny was really good, even better than Chris, he seemed so natural, I loved it.. Jonny should take on some roles, I think he would be great!!

So far, they've turned down multimillion-dollar contracts from the likes of Gatorade, Diet Coke and the Gap for the commercial use of their songs. But Coldplay, the best-selling British band, is now giving a helping hand to the United Way of London and Middlesex. Coldplay gave the fundraising agency permission to use the song Fix You in a promotional video for the United Way's campaign to raise $6.85 million for 40 local organizations that help the vulnerable. "It's not often that a major group will allow you to use an entire song," said Helen Connell, executive director of the United Way. "Usually a short clip is all you get, if anything at all." The video is…

Undeterred by three years in which detractors have dismissed his group as Coldplay imitators, the singer donned acoustic guitar and pretended to be Chris Martin for a snatch of Yellow. Resisting Manchester’s exhortations to carry on, he played Your Eyes Open and asked the audience to sing along, all the better “to cover up my appalling guitar playing”. http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,14936-2411842,00.html Considering you can buy bootlegs of all Keane's shows in the UK it shouldn't be long before we can hear it! http://www.concertlive.co.uk/order_keane.aspx

49 CHRIS MARTIN Voted one of the world’s sexiest vegetarians, the Coldplay front man Chris Martin, 29, may be a rock star (and reputedly worth £25m) but, despite a string of chart-topping albums (including 2005’s bestseller X&Y), he’s not exactly rock’n’roll. The fact that hummus is his only apparent vice means the redtops moved on to more gossip-worthy pastures long ago. Even now, with a Hollywood wife (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Hollywood children (Apple and Moses), he still comes across as a teetotal nerd. Chris’s capital is all earnest philanthro-pop, spiced only with political messages. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2104-2392941.html

WXPN, a radio station based in Philadelphia is counting down the 885 greatest artists of all time (as voted on by the listeners) and Coldplay is #61!! Beating the likes of Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Queen, The Police, Oasis, AC/CD and many more!!!! This is an amazing position. Remember, it's not out of 100, it's 885!!!! They played 3 songs: Yellow, Politik, and Moses. But oddly enough the website says they played Yellow, Clocks and Talk (but they didn't...I'm listening to this right now) It was SO cool to hear Politik and Moses on the radio! They both sounded great! I was expecting to hear Clocks, Speed Of Sound, Fix You or Talk...but WXPN completely surprised me…

http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=19754&stc=1&d=1161407851 Article taken from 'Famous weekly' Oct 23 2006 :o Gwyn is so much pretter than that Donatella! And as for Chris, they could have taken this pic ages ago and right after a gig so he would have reason to look a bit messy! Maybe they were just stuck for articles :\

In politik the lyrics seem to urge us to "open up [our] eyes" Chris Martin flies by private jet wherever he likes. This includes home (which one?) and back again between gigs when he's on tour, a fact which amazed supporting artist Alison Goldfrapp ("I thought 'What? are you insane?'"). Speaking about his daughter, Martin says "As she gets older, hopefully she'll come out as and when he wants", ie. to visit him on tour. If you are moved by Chris Martin's pledges of support for the poor, and advocacy of responsible living, then where is your sense of outrage at this frankly unbelievable hypocracy? Is it his example we should all follow? Reputable journalist and environm…

I'm not trying to start a huge argument here or name-calling etc, I'm just genuinely interested to know why exactly so many people are not satissfied with X&Y??? I love it, every track on the album is amazing in my humble opinion - perhaps I'm not looking into the album as much as everyone else, so any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Im sick and tired of hearing about Chris dissing parachutes. First off Warning Sign is my favorite song, and he hates it cause it reminds him of a time. Well you know I hate when someone talks bad about something that they know is good. Parachutes was the fucking best album they have ever done to this day. STOP DISSING IT your best work yet. :veryangry2: :veryangry2: :veryangry2: Chris Martin Trashes Parachutes Friday, July 14, 2006 Coldplay may have its critics, but some of the harshest words for the band are coming from the band's own frontman. Chris Martin told reporters in Hong Kong that their hit album Parachutes is – in his own words – "terrible music."…

Sheffield scorchers Arctic Monkeys are the red hot favourites to sweep up at the Q Awards later this month. The band, who won this year's Mercury Music Prize, have been nominated in four of the six categories at the prestigious bash. Bookies Paddy Power put the Arctics odds on at 8/11 to win Best Album, 6/4 to take Best Track with I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor and 1/3 to win Best New Act. They're also up for Best Live Act alongside Oasis, Razorlight, Muse and Red Hot Chili Peppers. U2 have secured yet another nomination this year for Best Act In The World Today. Paddy Power make them 2/1, second only to last year’s winners Coldplay who are the favourites at…

Coldplay have reportedly invested in a massive recording studio place in London. The four-piece are planning on using the property in Hampstead, north-west London as their permanent head-quarters. The move seemingly ends recent speculation that Coldplay’s future is uncertain. Today’s Sun claims the band have now entered a legal contract making them joint owners of the building which contains recording studios and offices. Earlier this year, guitarist Will Champion said the band were planning on the make the move. He said: "We’re trying to find somewhere we can set up and work from. In all these years working together we haven’t had a HQ, our own studio or anyth…

So the other night I was watching Grey's Anatomy, and there was a song that sounded exactly like Coldplay, but I had never heard it before. I have all the albums and b-sides and was wondering what this was? It sounded beautiful. And since this is the Multimedia forum, if it was Coldplay, would anyone be willing to share?
