Hey, everyone. I was just thinking about a dichotomy between the music of Coldplay and Radiohead & Thom Yorke. If I'm feeling hopeless and alienated (you know, "We all die alone anyway and that's just the way it is," etc., etc.) I gravitate more to Thom; if I'm feeling more hopeful about life and my problems, I gravitate more to Chris for help. Sometimes I want to listen to Fix You; sometimes I'd rather just say "fuck it" and listen to Black Swan for reassurance. Does anybody else feel this way about Chris, Coldplay and other, less hopeful music? I guess you can tell that I'd rather be on Chris's side. But confrontation is tough.

I hope no one has come up with this idea... here's the deal: One person types the title of a CP song, and the other person changes that title so that it might sound funny or interesting, like: In my place -In my space

  3. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) honored the top British writer and publisher members of the PRS at a special ceremony held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Hosted by ASCAP Senior Vice President, International Roger Greenaway, the gala dinner and awards presentation honored those PRS writer and publisher members whose repertory is licensed by ASCAP and was among its most performed works in the U.S. during 2005. Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I've posted here (school, work, the usual) but I figured you all would like to see this, if you haven't already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xKbTDTeim8 Chris Martin on Extras! If it's already been put up I'm really sorry for being slow on the jump, but if you haven't seen it yet...it's a definite must see :wink3:

Saosin on Triple J today when asked what was the last concert that they saw. one of the guys said he saw coldplay concert and that it was amazing. the interviewer said that was very unexpected as the songs they had requested were such things as Tool, Weird Al Yankovic and a swedish metal band.

  9. A parent paid £5,000 for Coldplay's Chris Martin to go to his home and play piano in his living room. The father outbid dozens of others at a charity auction presided over by Tory MP and Islington resident Boris Johnson in aid of a new resource and IT centre at Canonbury primary school. Also on offer was the chance to "buy" a visit to the House of Lords with Schools Minister and local man Lord Adonis. Novelist Nick Hornby donated books, there was a signed shirt from cricketer Freddie Flintoff, a signed Thierry Henry shirt, and a signed football also donated by Arsenal. The starting price for an intimate musical performance by Coldplay's frontman started at…

Chris Moyles DJ, who lives in a trendy part of North London, has many celebrity neighbours. Chris Martin is one but the Leeds-born loudmouth admits he often can’t make out what the Coldplay star is really like — because he’s quite mad. He explains: “He came into our studio one morning and he just seemed wired — it’s the only word I can think of which won’t get me into trouble. He just seemed out of it, not out of it as in wasted, but just really, really giddy and surreal and a little bit, I suppose, bonkers. He’s very clean living and very healthy but sometimes you’d think he was Pete Doherty’s flatmate.” Full article at http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-20…

Yes it's that time of year again! The Digital Music Awards 2005 are upon us, and Coldplaying.com has taken its usual place in the voting line up. We hope to build upon our 54th place in 2003, 44th place in 2004, and 36th place last year. With the global success of X&Y and the recent world tour there is a possibility we can do even better this year. Please pledge your support to Coldplaying.com and click here to vote for the site or click on the banners you see around the site. Every vote counts and is appreciated. Please also tell your friends, even if they don't listen to Coldplay! http://www.btyahoo.com/dma06/peoples_choice_vote?web=323

  19. Chris Martin, wife Gwyneth Paltrow and bandmate Will Champion attended the "Established & Sons First Birthday - VIP Party" on September 23, 2006 - among the guests were also their good friends Paul and Stella McCartney! The party was all about the partnership of British furniture manufacturer 'Established & Sons' with Bono's RED campaign (Chris also wears a 'Red' t-shirt at the event). At Grosvenor Place 9, many celebrities celebrated the launch of the company's Red version of aqua table designed by architect Zaha Hadid. I posted some pictures of the event here: http://coldplay.co.funpic.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=112&Itemid=61 …

Yesterday I asked to debs on coldplay.com : "I've heard that Chris said that they won't start to record before 5 years! I think that it's just a rumor, but what is the truth?" Her answer : "they won't take five years, so no need to everyone to panic" Seen on coldplay.com => q&a!

Here’s an encounter [Pictures: chichard41] Chris chatted to us and allowed photos etc. Then said he had to get home.
