Saw Leahy and the Elders today at a Celtic fest. They were really good. I've been wanting to start a thread, but never got around to it. I like groups like Clannad, Altan, Chieftains, etc. Just wanted to know what other Celtic bands/singers you might like.

Her new song 'Intuition' is quite different form her previous songs 'Foolish Game', 'You Were Meant For Me' and all that...The new song is great, and the video as well :o :rolleyes: I think she has changed her music into a right way, what do you think?

The upper class music award (aka Mercury Music Award) last night went to Dizzy Rascal, beating off competition from Coldplay, Radiohead and The Darkness (weeeee)...if no-one has ever heard of him, he's a rapper from east London. Mixes rap with garage music, it's quite good from what I've seen on MTV, especially "Fix up, look sharp" But The Darkness never won :( What a traversty!

They're a group of guys from Ohio State, and I've seen them like 3 times in concert and they're really good. They are really energetic in most of their songs, and I'd say they have a unique sound, but I like that. They have a couple of CD's out, but they just came out with one that they actually went to a studio and recorded, 'In Between Now and Then'. All their songs are good, but the main ones are, 'Crazy Game of Poker', 'Hey Girl', 'Black Rock'. My personal favorites are 'James', 'Whose Chariot', 'Road Outside Columbus', and my absolute favorite 'Anyway'.

Clint and Bob Moffatt started a new band eh? and the other older moffatt (Scott) and his queer "METAL" music. but Clint and Bob's band are NOTHING like Scotts music. I think Hidell is pretty good. Four guy band. Going Down in Flames. (i think). They're song, and there's a video for it. its alright. Its somewhat cool because the guy air drums in the video.

does anyone have any idea why every version i download of November Rain by Guns N' Roses from kazaa is fucked up? its either cut off or after the song ends, theres another song on there too... fuck....

im pretty sure no one here has ever heard of them but you're really missin out!! they used to be a duo from texas but broke up quite a few years back. they are popular among a lot of us VH fans too cause VH used to tour with them. in fact, when VH was a duo and used to tour with em, they played on Jackopierce's live album titled "Live From The America's". i really advise checkin out the songs Late Shift, Weather, Rain, Andersons Luck, Along For The Ride, Vineyard, Tree, and Get To Know Me Better.

I have an obsession with British bands as you can see, and I love discovering more and more bands. I used to listen to this AMAZING radio-station on Live365.com that was simply called 'New British Invasion', it had the BEST music EVER but sadly, it closed down three months ago :cry: Through that radio I got to discover a lot of artists I really like at the moment (more like discover them PROPERLY): Stereophonics (who soon became my 2nd favourite band - after Travis and Coldplay), Doves, Bush, Ash, Blur, Manic Street Preachers, Oasis, Reef, Suede... you get what I mean, right? What bands do you think will influence the music of tomorrow? Tool will for sure. Some people describe Tool as "the new Pink Floyd". Radiohead has already influenced music. Coldplay being the result. Our Lady Peace will influence Canadian music for sure.
