Today I tried to get Radiohead pre-sale tickets for the LA show. It SUCKS! Pre-sale my ass!!! They give you the crappiest seats. Anyway, I refused to pay almost $250.00 to be close to the lawn! Sorry... just had to vent.

I'm just listening 'Amsterdam' and thinking about other songs about cities or with city names in the titles: - Doves: N.Y. - Third Eye Blind: London (opposite to them, I DO wanna go to London...) - The Beautiful South: Rotterdam - Bran Van 3000: Drinking in L.A. - Fun Lovin' Criminals: King of New York I'll try to find more... I got a short list off the top of my head: Weezer - Buddy Holly All Beastie Boys vids, esp Sabatoge, Intergalactic Daft Punk - Da Funk....due, that dog head..brilliant idea Nirvana - In Bloom (well, all their vids were great) Radiohead - Just Outkast - Ms Jackson (just love them animals in it, cool efx) Coldplay - the Scientist White Stripes - the lego one.. Fell in Love with a Girl, I think (?) that Fat Boy Slim one where Christopher Walken is dancing in it, genius! what ones do you like?

every time i listen to the white album, all i can think about during "Yer Blues" is how out of tune the bass is. anybody else have similar stories?

I generally dont like rap, but this stuff is great! They're not "gangstas" they dont rap about the cliches that you hear all the time in popular rap, this is real music, coming from real people and its innovative, which is what most popular rap today lacks. They came to this place called "Eddie's Attic" which hosts some of the greatest competitions in the music industry for artists who want to make it big, for instance John Mayer won it and after that his career sky-rocketed. :) I just got something sent to me from the Doves site and it was for this new album by guy named, "Magnet." The album title is "On Your Side." And guys... I must say... WOW! One review said, "It's like Tom Yorke in a David Lynch movie." I sampled it and I am so tempted to go buy it RIGHT NOW! Look him up! :o

all right, so their new album isn't as good as the Sophtware Slump, but that would be a tough one to top, so we'll cut them some slack. i still think it's good. (i saw them two years ago when they toured with coldplay, hopefully i can catch them again in august)
