I'm trying to make a fingerstyle guitar cover for it and based on the notes I've got figured out, I'm inclined towards saying that it's in the key of either C Major or A Minor. On a chords website, it says it's D minor though, but I don't think that's right. Anyone know?

just sharing a video of me figuring out how to play a song by ear. I'd never tried to play this song before i recorded this. I don't know if this could be helpful to anyone, but sometimes seeing how "playing by ear" tends to look in real time, this is how i go about it. Definitely not a tutorial about how to play the song. Just a look at how I figure stuff out. cheers. Charlie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZtPrxQ_HOc Mobile Link: https://youtu.be/oZtPrxQ_HOc

So this month my band is looking to end a gig with sizable crowd for a charity event and we are planning to end the night with Coldplay! Last time we did was a mashup between Sky full of star, red lights and Kodaline All I want. This time I am looking at something more Coldplay. We have no preference except for the ending need to be fix you (of course, epic riff, so much feels) So im wondering what songs go well with fix you? Is it possible to mix yellow? if not what are the other options. Hope to have some good suggestions from you guys:)

Can I use the Fix You VST on a Yamaha CLP-545 and have the sound coming out of the piano? I want to buy a piano, a digital one, so I can plug it onto the computer and change the sounds, and play while I search for tutorials, but I also want to change the sounds of the piano to the Fix You Organ and the Clocks Piano, etc. Does the Yamaha CLP-545 allow this?

So I made a video. It’s probably one of my fav songs of all time, Hanz Zimmer’s ‘Time’, set to different visuals of awesome things, big and small. I did none of this.. just brought the visuals and sound together. Completely open-source art. I guess to make this a proper New Year’s post, I’ll say that the video does have a theme about the way westerners view time and events.. linear and forward-moving- when we perceive time this way- it starts to warp how we view the world. It’s not a negative way of seeing it…but it’s certainly not the only way of seeing it. We may not get that New Year’s kiss or have that crazy party we imagine everyone else to be having.. but h…

So I wrote a new song. It's called 'To Continue' and I hope you like it. In the bridge- there's a nod to 'Ink', I'm sure any Coldplay fan would probably notice. But otherwise- it's not much like Coldplay- other than the ending- it's got the build up that most Coldplay songs have. Which that's what I love about song-making- is having songs that move and transform to an ending different than how it started. Anyway, here it it- and if it's like any other song I've posted- no one will probably comment but comments are very appreciated. :)

So I made a song using a sample from Up and Up- the woman (I think it's Gwyneth) at the very end of the track. As soon as I heard it- I could just see a song from it. It only runs a little over 2 mins- enjoy! I also put up some of my own AHFOD artwork for the track.

I have been wondering also earlier these. When there is a good rhythm, enough calm, but not too slow, it gives a listener a good feeling where to hold on and how to carry on. This sort of analysis could cover more things. For example the song True Love. You can count the rhythm in different ways, but here is mine. The rhythm could be in 4, there could be 8 eights, that make a a base rhythm and create a bar of 4 fours. (quick counting way) I listen the song as a positive one, even though the lyrics are a bit like swimming in the water. Then I take a sad love song, from one Finnish music maker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=PtKhhaeBq50;list=RDPtKhhaeBq50 …

I am looking to buy a piano. I read somewhere around here about the Yamaha Clavinovas, but there are so many that I don't know which one to choose. I have 1500€-2000€ for a piano. I want it to be light, so it's easier to move. It should have USB/MIDI, so I can connect it to the computer so I can have different sounds. It should look nice. Can anybody help? Thanks.

New song. It’s a song written by Coldplay, Famous Old Painters, that was scrapped in the album that would become Viva La Vida And Death And All His Friends. I put vocals to it..which I don’t think vox had ever been put on it. Does anyone know if vocals had ever been put on it? There's like close to 15 or so vocal tracks on it. I've been messing around with texture ideas in my mixes. I changed the title to Familiar New Places. It just fit the vocals that came out of me. And close to Famous Old Painters Anyway, check it out. Hope you like it. https://belo.bandcamp.com/track/familiar-new-places
