Sure you guys are on top of his one. But here's a cover of miracles I did in the key of Eb. I layered some chord voicings on acoustic guitar. As always, just let me know if you're interested and I'll gladly share. If not, thank you and have a great may 29th :) https://soundcloud.com/cedmo013/miracles

- This is the only tutorial and I just can't accept that it's right. Chris would not play it this way. It seems wrong, so, so wrong. Can someone please make an accurate tutorial. PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE!? If I don't figure out this song it's gonna give me nightmares.

As requested by Aviv201498, here are some rough piano chords for Gone But Not F Cotton. The song is very interesting because it's kinda like Coldplay took a bunch of their songs and threw it into a blender because this song really borrows a lot; You have bits of In My Place, Green Eyes, and even Prospekt's March. Gone But Not F Cotton is in the key of A and usually just switches around from Amaj to Dmaj so the chords, with the variations I'm about to list, are open to interpretation. I just hope there's gonna be some sheet music for this song since it's a really nice song. Plus you can swap out Freane with "Friend" and make the song a bit more personal and sing it t…

OK, I'm not saying they're Britney Spears who has never sang live in her life, I'm asking people who have been to their concerts and know a thing or two about playing an instrument (unlike moi :awesome:), what songs (or parts of songs) they just do on playback + sing live. For example, I think that VLV, Lost, Charlie Brown, parts of Paradise etc. are all almost 100% playback. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhKxtv1FiUM]Coldplay - Charlie Brown (UNSTAGED) - YouTube[/ame] Look at CB, obviously they're going to playback the alien voices, but if you look closely at Jonny, I think he's totally faking it. And does Chris really have a built-in organ or sy…

From Hal Leonard: (Keep in mind they give you the chords for standard tuning, not the chords for the way Chris plays) "This table shows the guitar tunings supplied by Chris Martin to show how Coldplay perform these songs." Hurts Like Heaven: EBEG#BE (Capo 6) Charlie Brown: EADGAD (Capo 4) Us Against the World: EADF#AE (Capo 3) Every Teardrop is a Waterfall: DADGAE Major Minus: EADGBE (Capo 10) Princess of China: EADGBE (Capo 10) UFO: CGDGBD (Capo 2) Up With the Birds: EADGBD (Capo 7)

To those who know where the stuff is hidden here :) : Are there more tab books for acoustic guitar on here, similar to this one which i accidentally stumbled upon in a thread (and which is awesome, thanks to those who made and posted it): http://www.mediafire.com/download/zhy5dndtj1d/Rush+of+Blood+Era.pdf For example for songs from Parachutes or X+Y ? Or whatever you have. I tried to find something via the search function searching for tab books, but it didnt yield anything except in dead links, or links leading to folders that are empty. Thanks

Hi all, First off hi, I'm new to the forum ! I have recently bought an acoustic guitar. Unfortunately I am not a musical type of person in terms of playing. I tried to play Clocks since it's basically just 3 chords and I thought that it's gonna be easy. Somehow, I don't get it right though. I can play the single chords for themselves, but I can't shift from one chord to the next within time, so it sounds awful. Anyone has a link to a tutorial that is on a very, very basic level for beginners ? Which other Coldplay songs beside Clocks are easy to learn for beginners, and suitable for acoustic guitar ? As I said, I am a very un-musical person - but I still wanna give…

I have a pristine mix of the song completely vocal-less. It's cool to listen to or sing karaoke to or whatever to. dance to! haha here it is. I think, personally, the most underrated and important elements of this arrangement are first, Guy's Bass line in the verses is crucial to the way the song builds towards the soaring chorus. and second, Johnny's simple but perfect little riff during the chorus. It's a counter melody and frankly, he's a genius at writing these parts. Coldplay might not be coldplay without his guitars adding what they do to so many songs. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7yuhb683ayfdsz9/God%20Put%20A%20Smile%20no%20vocals.m4a?dl=0

Sounds like he only played two or three major chords but cant really find out which ones he played.. Much appreciated if someone can teach me :D Thank you very much :) :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chHjbFmhs0Y

Hi guys, I never heard this song until relatively recently (last couple years) and shouldn't have been surprised I liked it a lot. It's also a lot of fun to play on the guitar because it's doable but still kind of challenging for people in my range of playing ability. it's very Chris Martin too, despite being in standard tuning. This cover is down a semitone so my guitar is tuned Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb but the album track is standard. If anyone want's i can share some chords. just let me know. Charlie OH! it's "Careful Where You Stand." Almost forgot to mention that! https://soundcloud.com/cedmo013/careful-where-you-stand

For anyone who is interested, here is a link to a version of yellow with the original album track shifted into the key of G# from B as well as some additions from me instrumentally. I think it kind of breathes a little life into it if you've heard it 1,000 times just by switching the key alone. Still think it's one of the best songs i've ever heard if not the best. -Charlie https://soundcloud.com/cedmo013/yellow-in-g

Hi everyone! I'm from Gothenburg, Sweden and I'm looking for people to play coldplay songs with and perhaps try and write some original songs aswell with( mostly coldplay songs though ;) ). Are there any coldplayers in the Gothenburg-area that would find this interesting? I play guitar as my first instrument, i can also play bass and some piano so dont worry if you only play one instrument. I also have a friend that might be interested if we can find more people here. Cheers!

Chris Martin (from Rolling Stone July 14, 2005): "On the second album I was thinking there was something missing. I was in this really dark room in Liverpool, and there was a piano so old and out of tune. I really wanted to try and work out the George Harrison song 'Isn't It A Pity,' but I couldn't. Then this song came out at once. I said, 'Can you turn on the recorder?' The first time I sung it is what's out there." I have to pitch my keyboard sharp. Does anyone know the exact "numbers" to make it sound like the album version? Standard tuning won't cut it. Thank you!

Hello, If you've got 3 mins spare, feel free to check out this song that I've written and home recorded. It's only a rough recording so it's best to listen with head/earphones (but you don't have to) You can check out some of my other songs at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ian-Hoare-Music/111326428938898
