PARACHUTES - ALL CHRIS' RHYTHM/SOLO GUITAR CHORDS/TABS I decided It'd be easier for everyone if we had a collection of all Chris' guitar parts for the album Parachutes. If Chris doesn't have a guitar part the song is skipped. All these chords are accurate. 1. Don't Panic - http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=923017&postcount=47 2. Hi Coldplayers, I'm happy to join this great forum. For around one year I'm a passive reader. I'm doing the 'Chris Martin part' in a coldplay coverband... but we are still in the founding process :). In my personal opinion, Hurts Like Heaven sounds a bit flat without the synths, coldplay uses during their performance... Those that you can hear in the background fom 0:40 on: youtube.com/watch?v=YXMfNOyFrgI Founding the band was my idea... so it's on me to create a background track... challange accepted... Finding out the synthesizer notes by ear wasn't a big problem. I imported HLH into my Logic 9 and created a VST track below, where I noted down the notes…

Hello Coldplayers! I could really use some insight from any guitar gurus here on Coldplaying. I'm a giant fan of the "ringing", "chiming", and "jangling" guitar sound that is the trademark style of Coldplay and U2. I know Jonny mostly plays Fender guitars, and so does The Edge. However, The Edge also uses Gibson guitars. In fact, The Edge usually plays a Gibson Explorer (an axe mostly seen in hard rock music) during live performances of Beautiful Day, and that characteristic U2 tone can still be heard. I own a Gibson Les Paul Standard and my friend owns a Paul Reed Smith (I don't know which model). Could I still nail the trademark Coldplay sound or U2 sound…

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I post anything here. Anyway, now that we have a new era, we have new instruments that the band play live. I was wondering which is the keyboard Jonny plays live in songs like "Hymn For The Weekend", "Viva La Vida" or "Paradise"? Seems like it's a Korg but I can find it anywhere. It's not a full size keyboard and it has wood on its sides. Here's a screenshot from the Annie Mac show: Hope someone can figure it out and thank you!

After the bit where he sings "And just think Ah, Ah, Oh"... Does anyone know what chords you could use on a guitar doing an acoustic version of this? I play along to the whole song on my acoustic then boom...live version keeps going!

So I've correctly tabbed out the guitar part for 42 and even have an all F tuned guitar (just like Jonny's) which I just received yesterday. I know Jonny uses a Micro POG throughout all of his parts, and turns on some distortion during the later parts of the song. However, one thing comes to mind. How does Jonny get that clean tone in his first riff? It sounds like it's not completely clean (except the Micro POG pedal). Perhaps the guitar signal is boosted? I don't know. I need your help, guys! In return, here are the 100% correct all F tab for 42. https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/c/coldplay/42_ver4_tab.htm I was able to tab tbe song by watching live perfor…

My main is violin I used to play it with Suzuki method, when I was a child. I do not remember if I had a Suzuki violin. They sound different, that I know. Nowadays I have a German made Roth from year 1992. I have played with normal tune, varying with other players and baroque tune. The most used tuning changes the structure of the wood Piano I do not had at all. I wish I had. My ukulele is hand-made change version from children`s guitar of the committee of my building. My mandolin is a borrowed and very old one, it really sucks, from a friend. One drum I have, made by a friend. And some other rhythm instruments. :D

This has been asked on other sites a ton of times but looking at some other threads here, this might be able to get answered. At the very beginning of Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall, there's the synth intro (not the outro from M.M.I.X that continues into the beginning of ETIAW, but the intro that starts ETIAW). Any idea what synth instrument or module or plug-in was used to make it? I don't have a audio recording to attach because I'm posting this from my iPhone. Just pull up a recording and at 0:03 there's the intro. Please do not send me a link to the stems. I just needed help with finding the instrument that created the stem in the first place. Also, tak…

Hi friends. I don't post very often, but I often enjoy reading other's posts, tutorials, etc, and many of them have helped me greatly. Especially Kapone (WHERE ARE YOU??? COME BACK!!!!) Anyway, I thought I'd actually try contributing to this forum for once. I am not an advanced player, and I've never studied music. This is probably the only thing I've ever successfully worked out by myself that sounds somewhat accurate. When I was first trying to learn Yellow on guitar, I never really found a correct version of the intro on acoustic. Usually on the tabs for Yellow, they only include what I call the "pre-intro" below, but not the rest. With this version, you can …

Hi Coldplayers, For sale is a one-of-a-kind guitar. Jonny Buckland from Coldplay’s Fender Thinline Telecaster named "Forty" used exclusively on the tune “42” during the global Vida la Vida tour. The guitar was purchased during a charity auction in 2009 and is now offered to you. I've been a fan of the band since I saw them on their first US tour in tiny clubs - saw the Seattle 2001 and Portland 2001 shows - tiny places where the shows were cut short because the band had the flu and couldn't continue. Fast forward a few years and I won the charity auction for Coldplay's End of the Decade offering. And now cannot keep the guitar, so it is time to find it a good ho…

Hello i just thought i'd post this up here for all you anxious coldplayers looking to play ASFOS. anywaaaay.. onto the tab. oh and, i almost forgot.. i used the live version they performed during the Ghost Stories TV special to figure this tab out, it's essentially the same thing as the album version but id suggest you go watch that on youtube to figure out when Jonny actually plays his parts throughout the song the EDM section (Repeat this part 3 times for the whole duration of the chorus.) e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|----7-7-7---9-9-9---12-12-12-12-12-12---11-11-11-11-11-11---9-9-9-9-9-…

Hello everyone, Its been a while since I visited these forums, I had totally forgotten how cool it was around here. Isn't it funny how Coldplays one-off releases, 'Wish I Was Here' 'Atlas' 'Moving to Mars' 'Christmas Lights', all borrow that intimate, emotionally driven Chris Martin at the piano we all crave so much. I love how in between their LPs we are gifted songs such as these which really tug at the heart in a quieter way than the main album releases. Anyhow here is my cover of Wish I Was Here. I do hope you enjoy, feel free to comment on youtube, I'd love to hear from you. Many thanks, Jack/Tomahawk1505

Hey guys, I made a new song. I hate that I feel I'm spamming people sometimes. Sharing your music over the internet is a little bit like asking random people on the street for your time. But my family and friends haven't been exactly supportive. They don't even listen to my music. All I want is ...someone to listen. To say.. yes, I exist. I felt this.. and this is the best I can convey those feelings. And ..for someone to acknowledge that... not exactly be impressed by it.. or wow'd by it.. but to just say "hey, sometimes the way you sing.. or the notes you chose.. they're validated. They're real.. they reflect" Because without that.. I'm just a tree th…

I've been an avid fan of Coldplay since the very beginning, but never did I think they would become something too beautiful for words. Truly, if you haven't heard any of their music after X&Y, you really need to! As a musician, I've found both Viva La Vida and Prospekt's March to be absolutely fantastic albums. As for most of the new tracks on Prospekt's March, well, they're not new. They're in fact left-overs from Viva La Vida (ODAAHF). These songs have unfortunately been left to the depths of history and have since never been heard again. 1. Life in Technicolor ii: Has lyrics; Most definitely better than the original. Why this version wasn't the only vers…
