I'm not talking about your blockbusters like Titanic or your Jurassic Parks, I'm talking about the movies that are little gems that have a small, or even a large following which weren't mainstream. Personally I go for one that turned into a big cult years after it had been released and is a hit amongst mostly all film critics. It was called Withnail and I, and was about two unemployed actors who take up the opportunity to go on holiday to a cottage in the Lake District, and turns out to be a disastrous holiday. If you know Richard E Grant then this was in fact his first acting role. 96% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, even though it took me a couple of times to reall…

Okay...so I just finished this movie and I have to say it's the most disturbing thing I've ever seen...I don't know if I can watch this again...knowing what the twist is. Has anyone else here seen this movie? And if so, is it possible that there's a film more disturbing than this? lol

  6. Elf & safety strikes again: £250,000 study to tell us ten-pin bowling is dangerous By Steve Doughty Last updated at 11:37 AM on 30th November 2009 Comments (80) Add to My Stories Hidden risks? A ten-pin bowler It's a peril that only a crack team of health and safety experts could have uncovered. After two years and £250,000, they found that ten-pin bowling alleys up and down the country could be a 'very dangerous' environment for families. They concluded that it was too easy for children or teenagers to run down lanes and get trapped in machinery that sets up the pins - even though there was no record of any such accident havin…

  11. Average Briton drinks 84 times their bodyweight in alcohol By Sophie Borland and Neil Sears Last updated at 6:24 PM on 30th November 2009 Comments (21) Add to My Stories The average adult consumes 84 times their body weight in alcoholic beverages in their lifetime, research has suggested. Or, in other words, if all the drinks we consume in our lifetime were to be placed on a giant pair of scales, they would balance an adult bull elephant. Soaring levels of binge drinking mean that many Britons drink an average of 3.7 pints of beer, or 8.5 large glasses of wine, each week. BBC says 'sorry' for 'faked' scenes in daytime TV shows after production staff posed as members of public By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 6:12 PM on 30th November 2009 Comments (60) Add to My Stories Serious breaches of editorial guidelines - including faked scenes - occurred repeatedly across a range of BBC daytime shows, the BBC Trust ruled today. Programmes such as Sun, Sea And Bargain Spotting and Trash To Cash were among those which the broadcaster's governing body found had misled viewers. Independent production company Reef Television must now pay compensation to the BBC - which was unaware of the deceit - and an on-air apolo…

Elf and safe tree!! Cone moan ... little girl turns A TOWN has blown £14,000 on this 33ft traffic cone - to replace "dangerous" Christmas trees. Officials feared the usual Norway fir - costing £500 - would topple over in high winds. They replaced it with the branchless artificial tree which has embedded lights and speakers to play music. But locals have branded it a traffic cone and witch's hat. Town chiefs - who have had to cut back on Christmas lights this year - say the fake is much safer and sturdier than the real tree. Residents in Poole, Dorset, have blasted the decision. Michelle James, 27, said: "It's like something that's landed from outer space - n…

Stephen Southern, 50, pocketed more than £11,000 in disability handouts after telling benefits officials that severe back pain meant he could barely hobble 30 yards. He claimed he suffered 'chest pain and dizziness', could not dress himself, needed help to sit and stand, and wasn't able to lift his arms above his head. But the Dep…

The five baby meerkats lost their parent, Anika, shortly after chidbirth, after the trauma of labour combined with her age proved too much. But rather than leave them alone, owner Steve Rowlands, 28, came up with an ingenious way to get them through what could have been a difficult childhood. Mother figure: The cudd…

Richard Cowell was drafted in at the last minute to play Father Christmas at the event in Evesham, Worcestershire. Hundreds of families gathered to watch him being drawn on a sleigh pulled by reindeer last Sunday. But instead of waving to the crowd and chatting to children, the 34-year-old sat in complete silence 'looking sullen'. …
