Les Paul, the guitarist and inventor who changed the course of music with the electric guitar and multitrack recording and had a string of hits, many with wife Mary Ford, died today, according to Associated Press. He was 94. According to Gibson Guitar, Paul died of complications from pneumonia at White Plains Hospital. His family and friends were by his side. As an inventor, Paul helped bring about the rise of rock ‘n’ roll and multitrack recording, which enables artists to record different instruments at different times, sing harmony with themselves, and then carefully balance the “tracks” in the finished recording. http://inlog.org/2009/08/13/r-i-p-les-paul-191…

  7. Okay. Like We Are Marshall. It was going to be a great movie, until they added in the "We are... Marshall!" part for dramatic effect. 1.) Marshall didn't even say "We are Marshall" at that point in time. 2.) Marshall football sucked then. And still does. Don't ask what number 2 has to do with anything. Anyway... give examples of movies that could've been good. If it weren't for one scene in the movie, or one actor, or... you know... other stuff. And I don't think that the movie I'm been ranting about is even in theatres yet, but I hate it when people don't give the real story. =/

  8. When you coerce spending in one area where people normally weren't going to spend, it takes away from areas where they were going to spend. If you have 100 dollars to spend this week and you going to spend 50 on food and 50 on a video game, but the government convinces you or bribes you to spend all 100 on food, the video game producer is going to have lower sales. Why can't Washington understand this simple concept?:laugh3::dozey: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/us-stock-market-disheartened-by-weak-spending-2009-08-13

Scientists who played with 42 pet cats for weeks on end concluded that, like humans, moggies are either left or right 'handed'.
