  7. http://www.smh.com.au/technology/kevin-rudds-website-hacked-20090909-fhkt.html Anonymous has decided its next "opponent" as such will be the Australian Government. I don't condone their actions but I expect this will get messy, as 4chan (a site they are related to) already is on the filter blacklist. I'm going to give a run-down on what they're protesting: the Australian Government is proposing two tier filtering - one child-friendly, the other mandatory. Stephen Conroy is going for preferably mandatory internet filtering of "illegal" and "inappropriate" websites. http://www.news.com.au/technology/story/0,25642,24569656-5014239,00.html There has not ye…

The government has recorded at least 32 deaths caused by the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that jolted West Java on Wednesday afternoon. But the death toll could be much higher as communication with some affected coastal areas have been cut. More than 1,300 homes were damaged, according to government agencies. Most fatalities were caused by falling debris, officials said. Head of the Health Ministry's disaster control center, Rustam S. Pakaya, reported deaths in Tasikmalaya, Cianjur, Banjar and Garut — all in West Java. At least 112 people — 83 in West Java and 29 in Jakarta — were wounded, he added. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2009/09/02/java-earthquak…

  15. Don't know if someone allready started this but: This is not a thread to blame anyone or discuss the theories. The annivesary of 9/11 is upon us. Annivesary is the wrong word. Maybe Remberence is better. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my friends who perished that day. It's a strange story but that horrible day brought me to the music of Coldplay. Please take some time, remember loved ones and friends and never, never forget. Thank you, Christa edit - noticed that this was my 912 post. glad it wasn't 911

French Grandmaster Vladislav Tkachiev arrived so sozzled he could hardly sit in his chair and soon fell asleep, resting his head on the table. Dear Senator: I did not give you permission to sign my name to any of the bailouts or “stimulus package” or appropriations bills – and certainly not a ten trillion dollar indebtedness!
