So any other fan of that comic book? (I expect many 'transformers' once the trilogy is out, as always [/hipster] Looking forward to the movies? Spielberg brought the rights in 1983 and is adapting it into a trilogy -imo it better keep as James Bond's, a movie per book-, last movie might be directed by Peter Jackson. I hope they will do it decently good, though one can never know. I don't use to follow those trilogies, but i've been a fan of the comics since i was a kid and i'm kinda looking forward to it. The Adventures of Tintin: The secret of the Unicorn. First movie due to be released along 2011. Cast seems interesting, though is for an animation. [dis…

My favorite radio station is Absolute Radio but it's in London. I see they have a DAB radio station and this thread is to ask two questions: 1) Anyone think the DAB signal would be able to make it across the Atlantic Ocean to my home. 2) If I were to buy a DAB+ radio, would I be able to listen to a regular DAB cast (absolutely sure Absolute Radio broadcasts DAB only, not DAB+)? Thank you!!!

  4. Can't cook? The SuperChef gadget could have your dinner ready when you get home By Lydia Warren Last updated at 11:53 PM on 22nd July 2011 The rush of TV cookery programmes and celebrity recipe books may have inspired us all to become masterchefs. But now there’s a nifty appliance that does it all anyway. The SuperChef – described as a one-pot cooker with several pre-programmed functions – could actually have dinner waiting for you when you walk through the door. So it seems there is no need to put those newly acquired culinary techniques to the test, after all. The SuperChef one-pot cooker can steam, fry and bake The gadget can b…

  5. The biggest lottery jackpot ever up for grabs for punters in the UK has grown after no-one won the EuroMillions on Friday. A massive £154m haul is now on offer in Tuesday's draw as the top prize rolls over yet again. The prize is now the biggest ever made available in Europe and will see millions rushing to buy a ticket. Anyone who bags the jackpot will become the biggest UK winner, outstripping the previous highest who won £113m last October. Before this week, the largest jackpot in the UK was £126,059,632 in a EuroMillions draw in February 2006. A National Lottery spokesman said: "As well as giving players the chance to win this amazing jackpot, this draw will…

  6. It's the weekend and Broadband Genie is enjoying a well-deserved break, but this story was too good to wait until Monday. ACS:Law, the infamous law firm which has been sending out dubious letters threatening to take people to court for file sharing, has had a massive database of its emails leaked onto the web. The ACS:Law web site was taken down by a denial of service (DDoS) attack earlier in the week, an event described by boss Andrew Crossley as "typical rubbish from pirates". He's likely to have changed his tune now because someone discovered that before the site was restored a backup file containing the emails had been left in an open directory. Inevitably this wa…

But, what I really want to do is take spotify playlists from blogs and websites and listen to them on my ipod. Is this possible? If so, how does it work? Thanks in advance.

  14. A drive in the clouds: Flying cars could be in UK skies in five years By Andrew Levy Last updated at 12:33 PM on 18th July 2011 It's a concept that’s been around for decades but never really seems to get off the ground. But aviation experts are now saying a flying car could be in regular use in the UK within five years after a model was formally approved by U.S. authorities. The $250,000 (£155,000) Terrafugia Transition is a two-seater aircraft which has a top speed of 115mph, a range of 500 miles on a tank of fuel and requires just 20 hours training to fly. Nice wheels: The Terrafugia Transition sits in the driveway of a house... but it…

Rupert Murdoch's empire is now under investigation by the police. But at the same time, he’s getting ready to take even more control of our media. This week, Murdoch’s expecting to get the green light from David Cameron’s government for his takeover of BSkyB. The government wants to approve Murdoch’s BSkyB takeover. They say that Murdoch promises to respect media independence, so there's nothing to fear from giving him even more control. They want us to trust Rupert Murdoch! We’ve got until noon on Friday to prove to the government that the public want to put the brakes on Murdoch’s power grab. We'll deliver our petition to demand no BSkyB deal goes ahead based on Mu…
