Everytime I plug my iPod touch into iTunes after updating my version of iTunes, it says 'No Content.' I have tried everything, from switching the language to deleting my back-ups to simply restoring. Nothing works... Please help!

My 8gb ipod nano, which I got two years ago, is fucked or so it seems. Hopefully my description will be enough to warrant advice on how to fix it or if it's fixable. Basically it won't move pass the language screen, regardless of battery level. The ipod wheel doesn't seem to be stuck, and I can push the buttons but nothing happens. After a few seconds stuck in the lanuage screen, the screen itself dims and completely fades away to black. Why? I've reset and restored many times with no change. Itunes recognizes it when it's plugged in and the battery charges when plugged into computer and other outlets. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have this weird problem on my computer. Any letter that isn't found in the English letter is replaced by a ? in a diamond. It also sometimes happens with punctuation (especially ' and ?) Is there any way to fix it? I was looking up lyrics and I got this Just a bit frustrating. :P
