Coping with the truth of cancer is one of the most difficult situations life can present anyone. And when this happens at an early stage of life like childhood, it’s more devastating. Imagine a family that has to go through the sorrows of a child helplessly. The children, however, seem to be more patient about the whole thing than their adult counterparts. Most of the children have the courage and will power to complete the treatment than adults. The St Baldrick’s organization was formed to help these children and their families to cope with cancer. The foundation raises awareness and funds to cure kid’s cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships. During this…

As you all know, I'm very enthusiastic about getting to 1,000 posts. It's been my goal since I started posting here back in January 08. Originally, my goal was to get to 1,000 by the end of the year, but I might reach 2,000 by then. I also promised to get everyone here ice cream if I accomplished this goal (think Live 03, Yellow). Well someone once told me when I get close to make a thread asking when people think I will get there and to use as a clebration thread when I do get there. I know most people probably don't care if I reach 1,000, but for those of you who do, this thread is to help me get there. And I promise, I will post #1000 here.:D Talk about po…

To all my precious Pervs, Keep it perving for when I get back... I expect to see a shitload of ridiculous pictures of Chris doing Jonny. I love each and every one of you. So, let me start with explaining our school system a bit. Once you're 14/15, you go to a high school. To put it in a simple way, there are two different high schools - a vocational school (in our case for those who wish to work in kindergartens) and a more special and more difficult high school that gives you only general knowledge about a variety of subject and is considered as an "elite school" but it really isn't. And there's this girl, whose mom works together with my mom. And the other day my mom told me that the girl's mom was always saying that her daughter goes to the "elite" school. But in the end some people figured out that she was lying - the girl was ap…

This thread was inspired by a post by Icewolf who said to do whatever you want and don't be lazy f you want to accomplish it. However, most people do have a laziness problem, and this is a place where you can share what you've lost or gained from being lazy/non-lazy. I know a lot of people could use advice on how to get motivated to change, so maybe people here can help. "Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy." -Wayne Gretzky My personal laziness: I never practice for my weekly guitar lesson until a few hours before it begins and my teacher is starting to get annoyed by it.:\

If you can all take a minute from posting pictures of yourselves, random people or celebrities, and a minute from spamming to create drama or annoy people or even just for fun, then read this. Today I've had pretty much one thing on my mind for the past few hours. Today one of my best friends found out her little brother (14 year olds) has a large cancerous tumour in his lung. He'd been ill for a few weeks and when it came around to hospital, they found out today what exactly it was. He's in a very critical state and it doesn't look like improving over the next few days as far as we know. He's lost a lot of blood and had way too much fluid in his lungs, and I mea…

  17. Ok so I just was leaning on my left arm while surfing the net while on my stomach on my sofa. Then my arm went numb. Fell asleep. Pins and needles. Use this thread to discuss what part of your body, where, what you are doing when a part of your body fell asleep. And any other statements related to this. Maybe I had bad circulation. Oooooo boy it feels funny.

My American Lit./Writing teacher is SUCH a fucking asshole! We had an assignment where we had to explicate a poem and use different color pens and symbols to outline different poetic elements and such, and my poem didn't have any sort of rhyme scheme or sound devices, so I noted that at the bottom of the poem. Well, I got my paper back, and there's tons of marks saying "-2 rhyme scheme, -2 slant rhymes, -2 visual rhymes, -2 alliteration" etc etc and I got a ZERO on the assignment. Then I went to ask him why I missed everything, and he told me it's because I didn't say that there were no rhyme schemes and such, and when I pointed out the note I had at the bottom h…

  24. Hello Coldplay lovers. I once was a Coldplay lover. I still do like to listen to them here and then. But the real thing I enjoy about Coldplaying.com is the people, the fans. They are the best of any fans. I invite you to come to the lounge while you're waiting for the latest coldplay news. Talk to some of the old members. Make funny jokes, eat people, ask thought provoking questions that keep you up at night. It will only add to your coldplaying dot com experience. Your new friend, Briggins!
