Lost in Translation

Good.

Very good.

Have you seen any other Sofia Coppola films? I think you'd like her other stuff, too.

That film ticked a lot of boxes for me

Bill Murray, Scarlet Johanson, Japan, Non-Sexual Relationships, Cute Yet Downbeat

I've not seen any of her other stuff no

Terminator Salvations

7/10

Really Good effects but something was missing, but still good movie

Up (for the second time)

The first time I gave it a 6/10, but now I'd give it maybe a 9. Such a cute movie :wacky:

Yes Man and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Choke.

A FUCKING 10.

Kill Bill Vol. 1

I really enjoyed it, I was sorta worried about the violence and blood, but once I got used to it, it was really exciting. And the music was great too!

Now I HAVE to get Vol. 2

Star Trek

It was actually good, totally not expecting that.

The Green Mile

8.9/10

follows the book beautifully, in fact many of the scenes were just as I had imagined them. In following the book so closely, some of the scenes were a little dry, and the very end was drawn out too much. But the acting is brilliant, especially John Coffey's part, and overall it was really great.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen - 9.5/10

I'd been looking forward to this film ever since i heard they were making a second Transformers movie and i must say, i really wasn't disappointed. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! :D

National Treasure 2: 7/10

Loses a few points for being too similar to the original, and I probably enjoyed the original more on the whole. Not bad, though.

And I assume that if I hated the first Transformers, I'm gonna hate the second?

I havent read the book, just seen the film. I thought it was very long and tiring, but being that long, nearly 3 hours, and keeping me kinda enticed, I wanted to watch it till the end, is saying something bout how good it is.

Hah, I watched Kill Bill 1 2 days ago.

Was good fun. Had good scenes, wanna see no2 aswell. Its a very different kind of movie than most out there. It had its good points and bad.

6/10

Best bit about Kill Bill is the build up to the fight with O-Ren Ishii and the use of music, it's one of my favourite scenes I've ever seen.

2 is better overall though.

Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen

10/10 - I was so excited to see this movie. AMAZING

Transformers 2..........8/10,it was good, but there are a number of things i would change, for instance it seemed through out the whole movie that itveered towards comedy, which imo is not what transformers is meant to be,I prefered T4.

Did you like the bit when she kills TOO many people, 88 something, hahah. That was kinda silly.

Yeah, watched No2 it was good. better story and less midless and unnecessary killing. The lady with the eyepatch was a cool character. And her fight was good.

I agree with you on the average movie viewer. Too many people get amused easily. Anyway cant wait to see Public Enemies!!!!!

Valkyrie - 9/10

Very entertaining WWII thriller. I have a fascination of WWII so i thought it was a really interesting story. And believe me, Tom Cruise isnt bad in the film, you even forget its him cuz hes so into charecter

I personally loved that fight, but I can understand why people wouldn't.

It's Tarantino's best post-Jackie Brown film by quite a distance, he needs to get back to doing movies with great scripts though, I don't have high hopes for Inglorious Basterds, but I've been told the script is surprisingly good and it's not as action orientated as the trailer makes it look, so I wont write it off just yet!

We were studying Tarentino in Film culture this year; turns out he's a subliminal racist.

In Kill Bill the heroine has blonde hair and blue eyes symbolising Hitlers vision for the perfect race, and the japanese are depicted as rats. Personally I think that's reading into too much but something to discuss if you're a tarentino fan.

Across the Universe

9/10

Great movie, great tribute to The Beatles, and Jim Sturgess and his voice. He should consider changing careers from acting to singing. Bono is in it, totally strange, havent recognized him until he started speaking. The only thing why I give it 9 is because of the "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" part which was kinda boring and a little too weird for my taste...
