Never read the books, only ever followed the series through the movies so I am sure I missed a lot, but it was rather funny

Primal Fear 8.5/10

 

Starring Richard Gere (who I usually despise) and Edward Norton (who deserved an Oscar for his performance). It was a classic murder mystery fought out in the courtrooms, with terrific acting all around and many surprising twists, including one of the best endings in any film I've ever seen. I actually liked Gere as the hot-shot lawyer. And while it may be little different from any John Grisham story, it did come out before Grisham ruled the crime story scene, so it was more original in its time.

I was surprised at how good and how funny it actually was. Definitely one of the most worthwhile comedies I've seen in a while. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a good long laugh.

I'm one of those people who thinks the movies are an incredibly bad representation of the books, but as far as the series goes this one is probably tied with movie 5 as the best they've done so far.
