I watched 1408 this morning. I love that movie! I like anything John Cusack is in.

Not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's definitely directed at a younger audience. There were several moments where I laughed out loud, 50% of them due to intentional humor on the director's part and 50% due to the general hokey nature of the movie. This is fun.

OMG. At first I was like wow what a dumb geeky movie, but it blew me away. I also hear if you're actually a Star Trek fan it'll piss you off because the whole time travel thing kind of ruins the plot of the rest of the series.

Yeah, I think a lot of the diehards are somewhat pissed about the movie, but from a writing and originality standpoint, I think they pulled that off very well.

 

Also, the fact that Simon Pegg was in it made it about 4 million times better, even though it didn't even need to be.
