It's not meant to be visually beautiful.

This is a mob movie, not a sci-fi or something. ;)

I dont really like SF. Parts of the story were really good, like the fact that humans will desotry anything for money. Special effects were great, I saw it in 3D. In overall good movie, but very very unrealistic, but its SF so...

haha I know it's not meant to be like that. But I like movies that are both visually and substantially beautiful more . it was a brilliant movie in it's own style, but I personally prefer ones with a different style :)

I understand your point. I just felt the need to explain this. :D

On topic:

Takashi Miike's Audition - Totally sick. Usually i don't like such movies, but this one was brilliant. Brilliantly violent.

I don't like rating movies, but that's the point of the topic, so I'd probably put 8/10. ;)

Sherlock Holmes 9.4/10

(500) Days of Summer 9/10

Really enjoyed it. Was touching, funny and, I thought, really true to how real relationships are (minus the singing and dancing in the park). Loved Joseph Gordon Levitt in it.

District 9

9/10 Awesome film, watch it now.

Maybe if the Aliens were not as cheesy I would have liked it a bit more. But I did somehow develop feelings for the little baby alien :)

bridge to terabithia 8/10
