I wish I had gone to an american idiot tour show. I couldn't and now this album has some good songs but it's just not as good as previous records and the past tour had great setlist and some cool stuff

 

Oh but this tour is so much better than the American Idiot one, in my opinion anyways.

 

I'm not a big fan of 21st Century Breakdown but the songs work really well live.

Plus, since the band plays for 2.5 - 3 hours, they cover a lot of songs from American Idiot and all the older albums. There's a lot of room for spontaneity and the band occasionally still play requests and stuff. :D

 

Gah! I want them back in Australia already! :(

I was watching some documentary about the American Idiot Musical and they talked about 'When It Time'. There's a clip of where they show John Gallagher Jr playing the song to the band then the camera pans back to Adrienne... it's such a sweet moment. Actually the version they recorded with the American Idiot Musical cast is quite beautiful as well. John Gallagher Jr has such a lovely voice. :nice:

I downloaded the live version on greendayauthority, it's amazing. They only ever played it live twice I think, I wish they would play it more often. The AI Cast did such a great job with that song and all of them really. I heard Mike, Billie, and Tre cried at the premiere xD

I'm corny, but When September Ends and Time of Your Life have always been two of my absolute favourite songs ever. However, I'll not lie, I'm a fan of basically anything Green Day does. :rolleyes3:

American Idiot is good. I just recently listened to it again and realized why I really like Green Day.
