yes..

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. I still can't get over it.

lmfao I waited out in the freezing cold, whilst it snowed, for 3 and a half hours for Bono and the guys to come out.... Bust. They drove by us all and Bono rolled his window down RIGHT NEXT TO ME, stuck his head out (I could have grabbed him ooooooooooooh) and said "Sorry guys, late for soundcheck, we gotta go!" waved, smiled and friggin' drove up the ramp and away.

Not too much of a bust, I still got Bono to smile at me again. I must have looked pathetic.

Wow. I can't even BEGIN to describe the concert. :stunned: I really AM stunned. They played all the songs I wanted to hear. Bad. MYSTERIOUS WAYS (fucking LOVE that song). Until The End Of The World. FAST CARS! I Will Follow. Original Of The Species. All ones I hadn't heard all tour up until now. Incredible.

Position wise, nothing can ever beat my front row against the rail in October. But as for a set list, this completely kicked every show's ass.

I took tons of videos (not too many pictures because they all looked the same after awhile, I was behind them afterall and back's don't really change). I'll be uploading them onto my putfile acount later this afternoon.

Wow. :o I'm still in shock. I don't know how they can top this Wednesday. I really don't....

Bad. MYSTERIOUS WAYS (fucking LOVE that song). Until The End Of The World. FAST CARS!

Damn these are all the songs I wish they had played back this summer in Europe :(

*envy is killing me* :bigcry:

Ok Danielle next time I'm sure you'll be able to jump on Bono, this was just a taste of what's coming in two days

Oh and besides I just realised one of my friend will be in Hartford too :D

I'm completely in shock that I heard all those songs. I'm watching the Mysterious Ways performance from the Chicago DVD and oh... it was so like that.... :stunned:

:bigcry: <-what I looked like on the way home

I swear if they don't come out in Hartford I'm going to riot  Almost FOUR HOURS in the FREEZING cold. I mean. Bono DID :D right at me, because I looked like I was going to cry (I was just frozen, that's all). Crazy.

What a concert... I couldn't stop smiling the whole time!

im so sorry for you...you poor girl..its sort of good that i have never seen them live...i swear i would pee in my pants when i see them live. its such a shame because my favorite band is coldplay, but im starting to believe that u2 is my favorite live band...everytime i see those dvds +live performance i cannot stop feeling so cold...they are amaing live, with words that no one can describe.

i cannot believe that bono smiled at you, its so overwhelming... :stunned: they played

MYSTERIOUS WAYS, FAST CARS! I Will Follow but specially Original Of The Species that is my favorite album HTDAAB....it makes me cry everytime(i dunno why) :embarrased:

im so happy for you girl, it sounds like you sure as hell had the time of your life. :D

Danielle you got Mysterious Ways! I'm still squeeing and laughing at that considering we were like "OMGGG KARMA SHE NEEDS THAT SONG"

Too bad my tickets for Charlotte are looking worse and worse. *sigh* It ends at like 7 something tomorrow morning...it's at $233 and I don't think my dad will go that high. Some kid at my school is selling a ticket, but just one, and I need two, they'd never let me go in by myself. :dozey:

Mildred, OOTS makes me cry as well. I almost lost it last night, I was screaming my heart out to it. And Edge played the piano right in front of me for the entire performance. Just magical...

U2 really is the best live show I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few performances this year. Coldplay just has a long way to go before they reach that height, no offense to them or their music (which obviously is equally important to me as U2's is). Just... wow.

labell, you sent good Karma to me, and it worked. I'll send ALL my good karma to you now that you can hopefully get tickets. *crosses fingers*

(they better not play anything crazy tonight, or I'll be so upset  I swear if they play anything from Pop I'll SERIOUSLY have a solitary riot in my room! :P )

what, did you expect a fourth encore for Pop or something?!?!

Meh, I'm just moody because o'er here in Europe, I went to the two shows within reach and my Vertigo to Bad ratio is 4:0. Still, no bad memories, its just a pity I'm not going to get a chance to see Bad, Until The End Of The World, Discotheque, Fast Cars, Original Of The Species or Miss Sarajevo (although I did get Running To Stand Still, my personal favourite U2 song ever).

What sort of times did you arrive at the Arena and in what sort of temperatures? To say I'm British, we got lucky with the weather really, only those stupid enough to get there before 9 (ie: me) got really heavy rain.

I really wanted to hear something from Pop. Badly. I'm completely happy with what I got, though. It would have been so crazy if they left after Fast Cars then went "Oh no, psych, guess what? Let's play Discotheque and... dun dun dun MOFO!"  :P

Oh geez, I arrived at around 2:15pm with my dad, and it was around 30 degrees (farenheit, over here in America). It wasn't snowing at that point and that's when we decided to head over to the entrance ramp that they arrive at. The temp dropped as time went by and it started to snow..... I was stuck standing in a friggin' puddle and my toes were going absolutely numb (in fact, to while the time away I sang a solo version of Numb complete with backing vocals and sound effects :smug: ) No hard feelings towards the band, though, with the fact that they didn't come out. Honestly, it WAS really late and I wouldn't want Bono to get sick and jeopardize the rest of the tour.

Here's the REALLY crazy thing: I'm doing the same thing on Wednesday for Hartford. Come hell or high snow mounds, I will try and get my Bono Hand Shake before they head off into the great unknown (erm... South America? )

Whereabouts do you actually live? Are you within train/walking distance of a venue? I found for the second night in Manchester, I got my tickets the day before the show dead cheap (see long pointless ramble below). The moral of the story is, if you have the money, a close venue and a free night, always check ebay frequently on the day - as I'm going to be doing with Coldplay on the 19th.

long story: I bid on them on ebay, 2 for ~$70, as I was setting off at 6am for the first show and sent the seller an email asking them to call me if I won. I only bid on them because the item location was Manchester, so I'd be able to collect them in the city I'd be in. I won, and met the person selling and it turns out they were selling them on behalf of someone who lives on my road back home. Co-incidences eh? Was a good thing I'd booked two days off work too!

im going to U2 here in Brazil in Feb (even though nothin is confirmed yet). But Ill go... yeeeeeeiii!!! :D

Now i just have to wait to see if the rumors of cp coming in jun/jul is true!!

That's awesome! I'd definitely be there if I didn't have to graduate from college and stuff.

And if I were rich.

And...

And...

Why can't we all just get along? :hippy:

C'mon folks. Let's just try to be respectful and honest at the same time. I'm cool with people who aren't fans of U2, but let's be adults about it, even if you're in high school. Unless U2 ganged up and killed your father, there's no reason to talk about them like they're scum.

I have almost the same feeling...the problem, if I can call it a problem, is that the setlists in Europe were the same everywhere, they changed only when they played more than one night in the same place...we tried to have at least "40", or just one more song on the second night in Milan

And well what about being in queue from the night before?..I know there were people who arrived the 18th July when the show was set for the 20th :o , I arrived there just the night before, we all slept outside and were lucky enough with the weather..shiny moon up in the sky

:bigcry: I want one more show, I don't want to wait other 25 years :(

What on earth are you doing on a COLDPLAY Forum when you hate U2?

I can't figure that out... So hereby: shut up.

one can like coldplay and not U2, for example i love coldplay but think U2 are highly overrated  just one of those things, opinions differ

Sure you can like one and not like the other... But with X&Y, I find it hard to comprehend that people who like this album do not appreciate at least some of U2's work... I mean the influence is sooo there.

Why can't we all just get along? :hippy:

yeah. listen to Paratrooper. :)
