Kate Hudson talking about Gwyneth......

“She’s been my go-to about where to get things done - grocery shopping, a good mani-pedi, you know, all that. I look up to Gwyneth and how she has been in her life. She’s the real deal.” Kate Hudson turned to London-based American Gwyneth Paltrow for advice when she first started spending time in the U.K. with her British fiance Matt Bellamy.

Gwyneth Paltrow Signs Deal With Max Factor

Gwyneth Paltrow has signed a deal with Max Factor to star in a six-month advertising campaign for the makeup giant.

Gwyneth Paltrow is to star in a six-month campaign for Max Factor.

The 39-year-old actress - who this week was named the World's Best Dress Woman by People magazine - has been employed as the ''creative inspiration'' for the cosmetic company's makeup artists.

The new global advertising campaign launches in November and will see Gwyneth modelling different looks created by the artists to reflect different aspects of her life.

Pat McGrath - the global creative design director for Max Factor, who has curated the campaign - told WWD: ''I tasked 11 of our national makeup artists to create three glamour statements for Gwyneth. These were to be inspired by her life and the different roles she has to play - model, actress, mother, singer.''

From the ideas, McGrath created seven different looks which will all appear in the campaign with each look based around three ''hero'' Max Factor products.

Esi Eggleston Bracey, vice president of Max Factor, says the relationship with Gwyneth will be ''long-term'' and the results are ''magical''.

Esi enthusiastically said: ''It was magical to see these creative forces coming together ... our international network of renowned makeup artists, led by Pat and inspired by Gwyneth. What a combination and what stunning results ... This campaign is a real Celebration of Max Factor makeup artistry and we're hoping it will act as inspiration for other women to find the glamour statements that are right for them.''

The announcement follows the news the 'Iron Man 2' star - who has daughter Apple, eight, and son Moses, six, with husband Chris Martin - is the new ambassador for Hugo Boss' latest women's fragrance, Boss Nuit Pour Femme.

I luv my boy, but that picture has to be the worst of him ever..he looks like a bag lady:lol:

 He has quite an unusual style, but this one's gotta be the worst I've seen of him. Although his face looks cute and the fact that he's carrying that bag is also quite amusing, i must say :laugh3:

Gwyneth Paltrow Stores Clothes For Daughter

Gwyneth Paltrow puts all of her old outfits into storage so her daughter Apple can wear them when she is older.

Gwyneth Paltrow puts her clothes in storage for her daughter.

The 'Country Strong' actress - who has children Apple, eight and six-year-old Moses with husband Chris Martin - does not like to hang on to old dresses and instead saves them so she can pass them on to her daughter when she is old enough.

Gwyneth's stylist Elizabeth Saltzman said: ''She has an edited wardrobe. It all gets put away and documented - when and where she wore it - and then it's gone into storage for her daughter. She's not a hog.''

Elizabeth also claimed the Tom Ford-designed gown Gwyneth wore to the Oscars earlier this year has ''changed fashion'' because it was so simple.

She added to People.com: ''I usually bring no more than four things for her to look at. For the Oscars, I bought her one. I did have a second dress there, but I never even unpacked it. I said, 'Hey, y'all in your sequins and your tulle - side slits, beads!' It was a moment where you just put your hands up and go, 'I'm sorry'. No one had rocked a cape. No one had gone dead simple. You just knew it was going to change fashion.''

Gwyneth Paltrow hosts £9,200-a-head dinner in support of Barack Obama

Gwyneth.jpg

14 September 2012

Gwyneth Paltrow is co-hosting a London dinner priced at £9,200 per head to raise funds for Barack Obama’s campaign to stay in the White House.

Mr Obama’s top strategist David Plouffe was due to attend as guest of honour — a sign of how important London-based money has become in the battle for the presidency.

American Vogue editor Anna Wintour and fashion designer-turned-film director Tom Ford are hosting the event with the actress next Wednesday at Mark’s private dining club in Mayfair.

Mr Plouffe will also field questions at a policy discussion, with tickets costing £3,000.

After winning four years ago, Mr Obama credited Mr Plouffe in his acceptance speech as “the unsung hero, who built the ... best political campaign, I think, in the history of the United States of America.”

A Democrat campaigner said: “The significant thing this time round is we’re seeing more serious surrogates from both sides coming to London, looking for dollars, dollars, dollars.”

Republican challenger Mitt Romney aimed to raise more than £1 million during a visit to London in July. But the price of tickets to a fundraiser in a private house in Mayfair was slashed by more than half to £6,200 for lastminute buyers, suggesting his visit, marred by a gaffe when he appeared to question preparations for the Olympics, was not as successful as hoped.

Britain is home to 250,000 Americans, mainly in London. The city’s importance was only fully recognised in 2008, when Mr Obama enjoyed one of his most successful one-night fundraisers.

Eight years ago River Café founder Ruthie Rogers planned a glamorous fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, only for campaign HQ to scrap it at a late stage.

Mr Obama’s campaign raised more than £70.4 million last month, compared with £68.5 million raised by the Romney camp, according to official returns.

It was the first time in four months that Democrats raised more than Republicans. A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showed the President edging ahead of his rival by five points in both Florida and Virginia, two swing states crucial to his chances.

He already has a lead of seven points in Ohio, another state both candidates see as a “must- win”.

Political experts say the November election will come down to these three plus Colorado, Iowa and Nevada.

Oh some people might be sent to the depths of the ignore list....but I am sure by some of the posts on different threads, said ignoree reads, said ignored's posts:lol:

Gwyneth Paltrow would have plastic surgery

Sep 16, 2012, 8:01 GMT

image2_1347782491.jpg

Gwyneth Paltrow would consider having plastic surgery.

The 39-year-old actress says while she has no desire to go under the knife at the moment it is something she may do in the future, although she wouldn't want to go overboard on the procedures.

Gwyneth - who this week was named the World's Best Dressed Woman by People magazine - said: 'Everyone is asking me about my thoughts on plastic surgery. Do I look old or something?! I'm not opposed to it but I want to move my face because I'm supposed to convey emotion in my job. But I have wrinkles so I don't know - I'm not going to say that I'll never do anything, but I would always want to look like myself.'

Gwyneth - who has two children, Apple, eight, and six-year-old Moses, with husband Chris Martin - also revealed how she won't be taking the lead role in any movies until her kids are older as she wants to spend as much time possible with them.

She said: 'I just had the summer off with the children before they start back at school, which was great. I look for interesting, supporting-sized parts. I have not starred in a movie since I had my daughter because I would never see my children and they would hate it. But if I do a good supporting part, it means I go for a few weeks of work ... but then I'm done!'

Gwyneth Paltrow: I won't work with Chris

Sunday, 16 September 2012

42a6c9b4-a6f8-4d74-_681185t.jpg

Gwyneth Paltrow doubts she will ever collaborate on music with her husband.

The Hollywood actress sings as well as acts. Gwyneth is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and although there have been whispers about the pair teaming up on a musical number, Gwyneth insists that will probably never be the case.

"I don't think so. He does his job, I do my job, we have the kids..." she trailed off in an interview with the UK edition of OK! magazine.

Chris is constantly creating ideas for new music projects. The blonde beauty says the household is always filled with his inspiration.

"Yeah, he plays music all the time. There's always music around," she smiled.

Aside from her acting and singing talents, Gwyneth is widely admired for her natural looks. The 39-year-old star regularly appears on most beautiful lists but insists she doesn't pay much attention to them.

"Not that often, but sometimes," she said when asked if she ever looks in the mirror and thinks she's beautiful.

GWYNETH Paltrow took a night off from the diet when she went for a romantic meal with Chris Martin.

The Coldplay star took his wife to the new Pizza East in London’s Kentish Town, where they shared pizza, salad and a bottle of wine.

Not a mung bean in sight.

A source said: “They couldn’t keep their eyes off each other.

“Chris kept taking Gwyneth’s hand and at one point he leaned across the table for a very long kiss.”

'I only let my children watch TV in French or Spanish': Gwyneth Paltrow reveals strict parenting for Apple and Moses

By NADIA MENDOZA

PUBLISHED: 13:09 EST, 17 September 2012 | UPDATED: 14:24 EST, 17 September 2012

It's no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow flies the flag for healthy living.

But it seems her outlook on life has gone a little far as she projects strict parenting on her children.

The Talented Mr Ripley actress has revealed that she only allows eight-year-old daughter Apple, and son Moses, six, to watch television in French or Spanish instead of their native English.

article-2204640-14F184F6000005DC-454_634x782.jpg

Speaking to InStyle magazine, the mother-of-two said Apple was 'cross' as 'I only let them watch TV in French or Spanish'.

She added: 'When I'm in France, I go to [boulevard] Beaumarchais and buy all their cartoons.'

The 39-year-old also spoke about her own draconian diet, and while she has eased the macrobiotic lifestyle, she still considers a cheese-topped French stick and glass of wine to be 'indulging'.

Gwyneth said: 'I was very strict for a while, I was macrobiotic for a couple of years, then I got pregnant and just ate ice cream.

article-2204640-1510A1BD000005DC-296_634x709.jpg

'What I've learned is that I want to enjoy my life, and food is a big part of it. I love to cook and feed people. I cook every day.

'My indulging is a fresh baguette with cheese and a glass of red wine or french fries and fried zucchini. Or a turkey burger.'

During the interview, which was conducted by designer Diane von Furstenberg, the Oscar-winner also touched on her marriage to Chris Martin and hinted why it is still going strong after nine years.

She credited their friendship as the 'easiest' thing between them, saying they laugh a lot and share the same taste in music, before bravely discussing the hardships too.

article-2204640-14EA9AB7000005DC-916_306x674.jpgarticle-2204640-14F18590000005DC-815_306x674.jpg

Highlighting their differences, Gwyneth said: 'Probably our artistic temperaments. Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write. The temperament that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging.'

She added: 'I focus more on understanding than being understood.'

And it seems Gwyneth may even let off a little steam in the therapist's office, as when the blonde was asked why she continues to work so hard having already achieved such a high level of success, it was unclear if she was joking when she quipped: 'You can call my shrink on that one.'

She continued: 'The positive thing... is curiosity and momentum. The negative is a need to validate myself or feel special.'

Last week, the fashionista was crowned People magazine’s World’s Best Dressed Woman, while Emma Stone won Best Red Carpet Style and Kate Middleton was crowned with Best Classic Style.

Still a force on the silver screen, Gwyneth is currently reprising her role as Virginia 'Pepper' Potts opposite Robert Downey Jr for the Iron Man sequel, as well as filming Pablo Picasso biopic 33 días.
