I don't see any of Chris or the kids in the pictures so I don't think they can be accused of putting their family in the limelight for any gain. I'd have been really surprised if it was a photoshoot of the family at home together, but my guess is Gwyneth is starting up her career again after a long break and she needs this type of positive publicity.

 

It seems to be very much about her and her style choices (I can't quite see Chris having much involvement! :P ) It's not like she's gone to some tabloid - it is a reputable interiors magazine with a very select market.

 

I don't think that her choice to do this kind of article, for whatever reason, automatically gives people the right to take unlimited photos of the whole family e.g. Chris on the way to a funeral, their kids, or to harrass them in any way. Pap pictures are a totally different ball game.

 

She looks great, anyway, and the house is lovely.

^^ completely agree. Also, I think they are shy about their relationship and personal life, but no about her career and personal choises in fashion and decoration.

 

But wow if they have money! That place is luxury, but not iwth bad taste but in the contrary, shows how she has grown up with lots of money and knows what to put where, the house is really pretty. I´m guessing that the pink bed with A´s belongs to Apple, is really cute.

Gwyneth has a good taste, I love the kitchen ,it's functional and has big windows, apple's room is sweet, and the dining room is beautiful.

i totally agree. they set up the house all pristine like that on purpose. its SUPPOSED to look not very homey, etc. and houses like that are very rarely homey and cozy. its just how that lifestyle runs. many of my friends live in such houses, and it always feels more like a museum or an art exhibit than a HOUSE. but often there are "living quarters" in the back or wherever, certain rooms that are homey and messy, but they would never put those in such a magazine!!!

 

however, i would kill to see everyday life in the Martin household!!

 

i did think all the white was a bit creepy. very '80's.

 

and besides, that's not the house that theyll spend a lot of time in. they live mostly in london now; this is just a summer house that theyll come to on occasion. amagansett and most of the easternmost part of long island COMPLETELY shuts down after like september anyway. i think it would be a very lonely place to live year-round.

i bet their london house is a bit less done-up and a bit more cozy than the amagansett one.

Gwyneth Paltrow has shied away from the spotlight in recent years, but when she stepped out last night wearing a tiny mini skirt she was right back in the centre of attention.

The actress visited the exclusive Aspinall's Casino in London's West End, where good pal, Courtney Love, was in attendance, as was the heiress Jemima Khan and her brother Ben Goldsmith.

Wearing a little black dress, which did a good job of showing off her long legs, there was little danger of Love stepping on her outfit and tearing it, as she did a few weeks back to Kate Moss's Dior number at the Victoria and Albert museum.

 

 

 

Earlier in the evening, the willowy New Yorker, 35, met up with best friend Stella McCartney and her father Sir Paul at a gallery launch.

Paltrow was on hand to offer some morale support to the former Beatle who had spent an unsuccessful eight hours yesterday trying to hammer out a divorce deal with Heather Mills.

The McCartney clan were out in force for the exhibition of Stella's husband Alasdhair Willis - Stella's brother James and older sister Mary also turned up.

In contrast to the majority of celebrities who look worse-for-wear after a night on the tiles, Paltrow, who favours a macrobiotic diet and yoga, managed to remain epitome of high class chic throughout.

Since marrying Coldplay singer Chris Martin in 2003 and becoming a mother to Apple and Moses, Paltrow has shunned the spotlight, only occasionally turning up at film festivals.

Gwyneth famously complained about London's bad weather and dirty streets, although last night it seemed she was the self-appointed head girl of the capital's high society.

"Bring a raincoat, definitely...or at least a little umbrella that can fit in your bag, because it always does rain," Paltrow said two years ago to Marie Claire.

Well, Coldplay are gearing up for a new album release (partly in Spain) and Gwyneth is, if I'm not completely mistaken filming a TV show in Spain.

Separation and little time to meet are the obvious consequences.

 

Don't believe anything, whether it be a divorce or the acquisition of a 60's love shack on the moon, until it's confirmed by themselves or their PR people. ;)

Most of the magazines assume that the last time they were pictured together was during that one time they went out to eat when Chris told the photographer to "fuck off."

 

But when they toured Latin America...didn't she go to one of the concerts? But she was under the media's radar.

 

The media doesn't know shit about about their relationship because it's been on the downlow since they got married. So they fill in the blanks. They are one couple that people know nothing about.

In what appears to be an increasingly common factor in the couple's four-year marriage, Gwyneth – who has been in the UK for the past fortnight – was left to attend the glittering showbusiness party without her husband and father of their two children.

 

When they asked her where the Coldplay singer was, she declined to comment and walked away. The week before, the 34-year-old Oscar-winner was at another party where one guest overheard her brush off questions about her husband. "It was like Gwyneth didn't want to talk about him," my source tells the Mail. "It was very strange. They haven't been out together for months."

 

While she has spent recent months in America completing Iron Man, her first movie since giving birth to her son Moses in April 2006, Chris has been working on Coldplay's new album in London. "He's been working hard in the UK," a source said. "But he insists everything is OK with him and Gwyneth."

 

The actress has told friends she is keen to spend more time in America, where she has just finished refurbishing the family's new home in the Hamptons. "Gwyneth has wanted to return to the States permanently for a long time but Chris has said no," the source continues.

 

Gwyneth's publicist says: "Gwyneth and Chris as a policy do not talk about each other in the media, nor do they attend public functions together. They have not been apart all summer as you suggest and she does not want to move to America."

I hate the way the Daily Mail report things - they claim they haven't been out together for months but that actually means that they haven't been to a media event together (which they hardly ever ever do) and haven't been photographed together by press and paps. Doesn't mean they aren't together... it's just creative writing to make a salacious story... Chris probably isn't remotely interested in the Fashion Rocks party - or had other things to do (like an album! ;)) - doesn't mean divorce!

 

The facts are that now she's finished her work commitments she's come home to London, which says to me she's choosing to be with her family.

 

Damn they must be sick of all this gossip! :sleeping2: Or maybe now it just makes them laugh at how stupid it all is...
