Went to see them last night in Manchester! They were amazing as usual :D the setlist was amazing aswell they played a few old gems which sounded great like Seven Chinese Brothers, Fall On Me, These Days and Pretty Persuation. Third time I've seen them and they are still on top of their game! :D

Lucky guy. I really wanted to go but the £60 price really put me off. I think that took the piss; no need to charge that much.

Did they play Nightswimming or Sweetness Follows? They're 2 of my favourites.

No I was hoping they'd play Sweetness Follows myself one of my favourites aswell. They did walk on to a dance version of Nightswimming tho which was abit weird but cool :laugh3:

My ticket was £45 plus a booking fee which took it up to £50. I agree the ticket prices for this tour have been way too high! Last time I seen them in Manchester in 2005 my ticket cost me £35!

how i wish i could see them!! they were playing by me back in june but i had finals so i couldn't go:cry:

a friend of mine who was with me on metallica gig in june, had finals the next day...he learnt on the way back, but the train arrived 5 hours later and he ran there sweaty in metallica shirt to be there on the time :D

I know, £55 including various fees is a bit too much.

Are they playing the same set-list for each date, changing songs around (ala Paul Weller) or playing a completely different setlist every show (ala radiohead)?

They have been changing the setlist around each night. The setlists have been great on this tour.

awww you got 7 Chinese Brothers too :D I was so made up they played that at Manchester last Sunday  glad you had a good time, Manchester was an amazing night aswell :D

Stipe is such a talent on stage, he really suprised me when he was performing End of the World at T in The Park.

He has to be one of my favourite front men of all time! :D

He gets the crowd moving, and don't have to fall back on idiotic special effects on stage.

R.E.M are the king of random but brilliant lyrics.

If I were to make a band I'd definatly make it in the style of R.E.M. Free form verses and bouncy dangling guitars.

That's excatly why I like them.

Just think of ...ehm... "The Great Beyond".... "I'm pushing an elephant up the stairs..." ... it doesn't make sense but it fits geniusely! ;)

Peter Buck's signature Rickenbacker guitar was stolen from the stage in Helsinki, Finland tonight :shocked2: :shocked2: :shocked2:

Just read about it now on their website. Here's the link: http://remhq.com/news_story.php?id=888

I hope he gets it back!

Wow it was an amazing gig! And I didn't stole the guitar then :P

I post some pics soon. I was only 5 feet away from Michael Stipe when he came down from the stage during Losing My Religion.

They even played Cuyahoga because Editors requested it. It's one of my favourite tracks.

Stipe had to lift his trousers all the time. he explaned that he had actually lost some weight.
