Today I finally watched the Rose Bowl video properly (i.e. in the big tv and not just bits and pieces) and my mother came and sat right next to me for like half of the show and we talked about the band and their outfits and the flower of life and other stuff :D.

She kept saying that Chris was going to fall off during clocks :lol:. It was fun.

 

I have also said it a lot of times but I will say it again, I absolutely love every single version of GPASUYF :heart:

How uncanny! :D I've had Don't Let It Break Your Heart and Up With The Birds play consecutively on shuffle a few weeks ago, which was awesome because the two songs had the same flawless transition that I'm used to when listening through MX from start to finish.

that is pretty cool. i've had 2 consecutive songs play on shuffle but in reverse order, which has happened multiple times and was weird each time :P

 

edit: after having just written this maybe 20 minutes ago, Violet Hill followed immediately by Viva la Vida. Spotify can never get the order right :P

I realize it's now September 10th in most of North America (and you're from Canada, right? I do think I remember that), but happy late Coldplaying birthday!!! :D

 

I've just realized something interesting... on September 26th when I reach my 2 year anniversary of having an account here, it will also be the 1 year anniversary of Coldplay's first appearance at the Global Citizen Festival. That was the day that the first new song from AHFOD (and one of my favorites on the album), Amazing Day, was revealed to the world. :)

That's cool how those events line up. Amazing Day is my second favorite from the album, next to Birds. However that "ohh ohh ohh ohh ahh ohh ahh ohh" or whatever, that part of the song is the best moment on AHFOD for me. I only like Birds better since it's really good throughout while Amazing Day was good in the beginning, but that part really takes it up a notch. :)

That's super cool. I can't really remember of a time where two consecutive album tracks played consecutively on a shuffle but I remember different album tracks playing consecutively and from other artists I have in my library all the songs that play from them are mainly from one album. it's like my shuffle likes that album lol. Or sometimes over the course of a few days as I listen to my playlist the same 3 or 4 songs from 1 specific album from an artist will play. It's crazy.

Random dream: Recently I had a dream that I bought the orange Parachutes vinyl but when I opened it, it was a vinyl-sized Live 2003 CD :freak:

I had the weirdest/most wonderful dream! I dreamt that I was at a Coldplay concert but before the show started there was a smallish crowd of people gathered in a nook (including me) by the front of the stage and we were waiting for Chris to sign autographs I think, but he didn't manage to get to all them so a lot of ppl left, so I asked him if I could take a picture with him. He ofc said yes and he made a silly face in the picture lol. Btw I still remember how he smelled of clean laundry [emoji28] I then noticed he was drinking some type of green smoothie and I asked him what kind it was and it turned out it was my favorite type, so he asked me if I wanted the rest of it. At first I thought it was weird but then asked him "are you sure?" and he continued to insist so I took it (i still remember the taste! the dream felt so real!) He then asked me if I wanted some of his dried snacks he was eating (edamame beans, peas, nuts) so I tried some and said they were really good, so he insisted I have them too (he would probably actually do this irl bc he's so nice/generous). Then he saw I was wearing my love button and asked if I wanted another one so I could give it to someone and I ofc said yes! He had to leave so he could start getting ready for the show, so I didn't get to say/ask all the things I wanted, but when I told him that I loved him he said it back, which made me cry and when he saw I was crying he gave me a hug and said it was nice to meet me and he hoped I'd enjoy the show. I cried all the way home.

 

It was so crazy how the dream felt so real that when I woke up I was actually crying like in the dream. What a beautiful dream to have the day before my birthday [emoji173]

Funnily enough I've only had like 1 dream about Coldplay, and it was only a minor part of the dream, me and a few other people watched Coldplay play a song or two for a short time, and now when I look back on it I don't even remember the song and it felt much shorter then an actual song would be. Puzzling that I loved Coldplay for so long yet never have any dreams of them hardly..

Was looking through Apple Music playlists, and apparently Clocks influenced 1D? Interesting... Also quite surprised with some of the other songs on the playlist. :nod:

Very interesting list.

I've had a few Coldplay dreams before. I remember a really vivid one from around the time I first made my account, in which the band played a private concert for my family and friends. They played some songs I knew but they also played some unreleased songs like Car Kids that almost no one has actually heard. However, most of my Coldplay dreams are random dreams where the band members show up in random places.

On my way back to my university after spending the weekend at home with my family, I passed by both a 136th Street and a 42nd Street. :D Not to mention I heard Clocks on the radio.

went to the mall last night and ink was played. it really stopped me for a moment and i was not able to concentrate on what clothes to shop because i was just really all ears to the song!

So I was at the Olympic stadium today, for paralympic athletics competitions, and all the information was announced first in English and then in Portuguese....
