Wanted to say,that i see number "42" everywhere,on the streets,in my university,in newspapers.

Today when I connected a laptop to a power outlet, I saw sparks.... ;)

Yesterday, I heard our local radio station's first and possibly only playing of Lost+

 

Then some guy came in and said Jay-z rapped over Coldplay whole VLV album and it's called Viva La Hova. He also said Lost+ was on Viva La Hova.

 

And the DJ didn't understand the concept of an EP I think.

 

I would've called in a set them all straight but I was late.

Today I was listening to the radio and suddenly Chris came on saying: "Hello I'm Axel Rose from Guns N Roses, good friends of the band Coldplay from the UK and you're listening to channel 93.3"

 

Have you heard any radio station ads like this one? if so what did they say?

Just scanning around the channels on a saturday night. I see one of the high up channels has austin city limits, I'm not even sure if that channel is available with our service, and the info just mentions Gnarls Barkley. I select it and, 'lo and behold! Coldplay halfway through Yellow back in the X&Y era. A really awesome surprise, now they're playing white shadows.

One day me and my sis were talking about Chris, probably like, "That's like Chris Martin." My bro said, "...Who?"

 

"Chris Martin, the singer from Coldplay."

 

"Oh, okay, because I was gonna say... I knew someone named Chris Martin back at the barracks." I was about to say "REALLY?!" :laugh4: but then I realized how flippin' common his name is. If I got excited at everyone named Chris Martin, I'd never get any sleep.

 

AND while reading the TV Guide, it said Coldplay's act on ACL was one of the top five acts in its 30 year history. Smug, am I? Yeah... a li'l... :laugh4:

Is it just me but from Parachutes to Viva has Will gone from goofiest member of the band to coolest member? Well maybe slightly less cool than Guy, but you get where I'm coming from.

Anyway, random Coldplay story:

I was at the Verizon store the other day (finally) getting a new phone, and I was all the way in the back when I suddenly heard Chris' voice! So I rushed up to the front of the store, and they were playing Violet Hill :D I casually played with a display phone so I could listen without looking idiotic, but I was wearing my Coldplay sweatshirt, so some guy turned to me and said, "you must be enjoying the song!" :P

 

PS- I've been torn over what Coldplay ringtone to get :bigcry: Any suggestions?

life in technicolor is an awesome ringtone, i have to say, but i really want lovers in japan now too. i wish they weren't so damn expensive :sad:

I hate hearing Coldplay in stores.....it always sounds excessively commercial when it's being used to sell soap products and hi-definition televisions.

Yeah, Chris calls it their ringtone song! But I think I want one with lyrics... hmmm :thinking:

 

I don't like getting my top favorite songs as ringtones because I'm scared it would ruin them (although I had Everything's Not Lost, the ringtone was too badass to resist)! I don't knowww, I wish they had ringtones from the EP, I think an LIT2 or GOW ringtone would be perfection...

 

Oh, and other random thought:

 

I decided to watch a sappy movie the other day (I know, the horror), and I chose Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2... Blythe Danner plays the character's grandmother, and I kept thinking "her REAL grandchildren are Chris Martin's kids!!!" :P
