August 30, 200817 yr What do people think of The Hindu Times? I reckon its one of their best songs ever. It seems to be one of their least known. Shock of the lightening is pretty fun.
August 30, 200817 yr love the hindu times! it's so catchy and such a great tune! i actually have a demo with different lyrics and noel on vocals.. sounds epic as well!
September 1, 200817 yr My First Impressions on The Shock of The Lighting by Oasis I am a fan of Oasis... and even became more thanks to you guyss:laugh3: .... and when i heard about their song i instantly searched for it in youtube and started for a listen.................... I started too play it and then came the new oasis it sounded like their old days.. actually I never really liked their past efforts on the other albums since the start of the 00's I never even noticed that they already released 3 albums already..... oh well I guess its the downfall of their popularity in the world,.... But yeah lets get back to the topic. Its pretty catchy especially when it comes to the phrase " come in come out" but yeah overall enjoyable but to rate it its quite average.. the second time i listened to it.... its really hard to recover you know once youve fallen... but alteast another breath of fresh air from rock since Im really sicked out of all the R&b techno crap sounds i hear all the time in the radio.........
September 2, 200817 yr Has anyone else noticed they pretty much ripped the main riff of The Strokes "The Way It Is"? Still a good song though.
September 6, 200817 yr That's why i fuckin love Oasis These guys are arrogants and full of themselves, they don't give a fuck about NOBODY! "They're [Radiohead] middle-class boys worrying about pushing an envelope somewhere, and all that carbon footprint and all that bollocks. Every time there's a polar bear on his tiptoes on an ice cube in the middle of the Antarctic, you know whose fault that is? Rock stars'. That's their fault. Any time there's food running out somewhere-- 'Let's do a gig. That'll sort it out. Let's do a big fucking gig. Let's fly everybody in from all over the world and pontificate to poor people about how they should be saving the planet.' Go fucking kiss my ass. It's very easy to just say, 'We're going to become difficult now and challenge our audience.' I like my audience. They paid for my swimming pool. I'm not fucking challenging anybody."
September 6, 200817 yr That's why I fuckin hate Oasis. same here... they have nothing better to do than trash other bands. it's probably because no one really cares about them any more and have been has beens for the last 10 years
September 6, 200817 yr I like it when they trash other bands and act really immature. But this time they just sound evil. What a stupid thing to be passionate about, people who are trying to change the world.
September 6, 200817 yr Notice Noel Galligar seems to be slagging someone off or saying something controversial every single day this week, and before then too. Do we have this for another 2 months, until this album fades into obscurity?
September 6, 200817 yr well what other bands are coming back to the public eye thenow? snow patrol will get a slagging, he likes kings of leon so they'll be fine, razorligth might get a slagging, kasier chiefs again no doubt...just everyone :laugh3:
September 6, 200817 yr I can't find it, Im sure NME will tho, they seem to be posting anything on the bands blog these days as news.
September 6, 200817 yr I couldn't find that quote on Noel's blog "I also believe a couple of these have found their way into the national press and that NME. Do me a favour will you, you media slags? Mind your own fuckin’ business and let the rest of us chat amongst ourselves." "Q: “Describe to me the guitars you used on this new record.” A: “Erm..one was red and one was blonde!? Are you gonna ask me what my favourite string is too?” Q: “You have a favourite STRING!?” A: “Yep..the ‘e’ string”"
September 6, 200817 yr Time to backtrack... I actually don't mind Oasis, in fact I like some of their songs very, very much. My comment about me hating them was purely for comedic value as it was the direct opposite of the title of the thread and I thought it may elicit a few chuckles amongst you. Anyway, no offence meant, sorry for any caused, erm, goodnight and godbless xxx
September 8, 200817 yr Noel gets attacked during concert: http://www.prefixmag.com/news/noel-gallagher-attacked-virgin-festival-video/21345/
September 8, 200817 yr Clearly a deranged Radiohead fan, although I have to say, it was pretty hilarious as long as Noel was okay. Also, I just have to bring up that Noel's Radiohead quote mentioned polar bears in the Antarctic, when he should clearly realize they don't live in the Antarctic but only the Arctic. What an idiot. God. :laugh4:
September 8, 200817 yr It's funny because its Noel Galligar And I just wish it had been a musician. Oh and check Liam out in the video, he goes after the guy.
