August 8, 200718 yr Finally I saw the movie about 2 hours ago:P and it was really crowd in the theatre, I really satisfied with the film, every step Simpsons did was really funny. Especially Homer. Very funny movie, I like it:)

August 9, 200718 yr Author haha, yep the simpsons movie is still no.1 at the box office here in australia and hopefully will remain there for a few weeks yet. such a funny movie but no need to argue. "come on carole, watch it already! :P "
August 14, 200718 yr I've just seen it. Nice, some funny moments. I liked the Spider pig thing :laugh3: I reckon thinking that the tv show is more "simpsonned" than the movie.
August 16, 200718 yr Author still on topic, i did end up getting the Homer Simpson banner, for much less that i expected considering Maggie sold for $200+ Here it is, too bloody big to fit up on my wall properly but it's still great  This is it layed on my queens size bed (to give you an idea)
August 17, 200718 yr Wow, Kathy!! That is one humongous poster!!! :stunned: Looks awesome! Hope you find some proper and well-deserved place to put it on.. :D
August 21, 200718 yr I was apprenhensive, because the newest episodes do not amuse me as much as the old ones. I was pleasantly surprised though, it was funny!
January 9, 201016 yr Ive finally got around to watching this film in its entirety (I have tried on a handful of occasions but couldn't watch past about 20mins) and it could be the worst film Ive ever seen. It actually annoys me that people actually love it, spider pig?! WTF?! :freak: That wasn't the funniest thing in this film, but the fact that its supposed to be its iconic moment, shows just how retardedly random the writing is.
January 9, 201016 yr The best moment in this film is definitly not Spiderpig! It's when the robot tries to stop the bomb and kills itself instead! Presure...PRESURE!
January 9, 201016 yr The best moment in this film is definitly not Spiderpig! It's when the robot tries to stop the bomb and kills itself instead! Presure...PRESURE! I did say that Spiderpig wasnt the best moment. But that part is crap too. Im watching the end bit again, Homer and Bart are on a motorbike, LITERALLY flying around all of Springfield, like, WTH?!! Dr. Nick just got killed by a gigantic shard of glass. Maggie just knocked out the bad guy. Now its Lisa love interest, who brought absolutely nothing to the film in terms of humour, intrigue, and Im switching away. When did they stop being realistic people and become whatever this is?
January 9, 201016 yr ^ Yes, I was agreeing with you. I like the movie though, I dont think it's suppose to be realistic at all. Everyone's got their on opinion though.
January 9, 201016 yr No need to cry though, the weird thing here is that you actually watched the ending again, and you didnt even like the movie .
January 10, 201016 yr The other funny thing is funeral version of American Idiot in the begining
January 10, 201016 yr The best part of the movie was clearly Marge taping over the wedding video, which was a real, sincere, heartfelt moment. The actual humor in the movie was hit-or-miss, but The Simpsons hasn't always been about simply the jokes. I agree that Spiderpig is the retarded, though.

Well it was on Channel 4 in the UK which showed the Simpsons film, and we have C4+1 (An hour later). So while I was writing my last post I decided to illustrate how much I couldnt stand watching even one or two minutes of the film, I didnt watch the entire ending. OK I see another person who seems to have liked it. Seeing as I bumped this thread and we wouldn't be replying otherwise, Im now hijacking this thread and demanding that the only people who can now reply in here must loathe this film. Thats all.

The Simpsons is shit, it's sad cos it used to be genuinely good satire of real people. It's embarrassing that they are still going with it.
March 1, 201016 yr Yes! Finally. It started to go downhill around 2000, for a few seasons it was just OK, certainly losing quality. The reason was that the backbone of the jokes, the storylines, which were fundamental in setting a believable context and a platform that suited fairly subtle humour, became non-believable and not very good. Each season since then the storylines have somehow managed to get even worse, now, not only could I write an episode, I really do think an 8 year old could. Actually a newer episode just came on TV, and Millhouse just kissed Homer accidentally. Not only is this weird, but it's not funny.
