Did you go down the alleyway? or look through the door? Or perhaps look in the car?

I went down the alleyway but I didn't want to invade their privacy because it was the day of the BBC gig which I went to, and they were probably inside!

though after being to the bakery I walked by Chris and Gwyneths house (just down the road)

Awesome! I heard it's extremely close by!

The area is definitely quite posh.

Home to some of the most expensive housing in London :stunned:

have you ever been? :stunned:

the area is a shithole. it's a really run down area.

looks horrible. even chris' street is rancid.

Chris' house stands out like a soar thumb because it's not falling apart.

and there's a huge house a few doors down where I believe pete docherty and kate moss used to live which is nicer. which chris and gwynny almost bought before moving into kate winslets old house.

I've never been to Fleet Road, no :disappointed:

But Hampstead does have one of the highest housing prices (or maybe that was in the past), whether or not it extends to that particular street or the nearby roads may not be true

I'll take your word for it though :P

hmmm...the area looks pretty ok from Google Street View tho. but the street view for that particular alleyway doesn't have a direct shot of The Bakery. just side views from the corner of the bistro.

It's not just AgeSixRacer that thinks that, Chris discribed it as a shithole himself. :P

the area is horrible.

honestly. go visit it for yourself lol.

The area is quite surprisingly gross, lol. I had no clue that Chris and Gweneth lived just down the street. When I head back home in December, I'll have to take a longer stroll, and this time I'm NOT forgetting my camera! So the other side that faces Agincourt Road that has the two garage door things, is that the back if the entrance is down that alley?

I'm pretty sure they all mostly go round to the left where you can park in the rear.

I honestly didn't think the area was THAT bad! DEFINETELY wouldn't have guessed they live in the immediate area

Hampstead/Belsize Park is lovely...give me enough money and I move there in a second. saying that the road the studio is on is not really one of the best streets there. But I just love the area, just a couple of minutes and you are in camden which is also lovely.

If people think this area is gross wonder what people think of brixton and peckham...haha...

Yeah, I'd live there! After we stopped by the Bakery, we had dinner at the Tootsies restaurant by the Belsize Park tube station. Very lovely area

i think technically it should be the other way round with the "garage door" being the ex-bakery's frontage & the alley being the delivery door. but given it's current usage/role, the alley's probably a better entrance (no need to worry about parking! :P ).

does anyone know if we can go in it cos i live near londonand im going there in the week so i can take piccies so i was wondering if i could go actually inside the building ?? xx :)

I don't think you can go in, lol... I would figure if you even knocked on the door no-one would answer - or if they did, they'd probably tell you to politely go away! I wouldn't be worried about just visiting, it's a public street!! When we visited it just seemed like any other typical place really. Just respect their privacy and don't hover around for ages or look suspicious :laugh3:
