MasoKnight
Initially, I agreed... After another listen, I feel like it's lost a little bit of its melody. Kind of like what happens on The Hardest Part when the rough guitar kicks in... Hmm. I think I'll... I'll listen to it again!
johnnymax865
I think there are too many instruments on the album version... it's great and if it's the next single, it's a good choice but effectively the acoustic version is easier to listen
gus
IM A HUGE FAN OF NINE INCH NAILS AND COLDPLAY. LIJ(STUDIO) ITS LIKE A COMBINATION OF BOTH. LIJ ITS THE BEST SONG EVER PERIOD. LIJ MAKE A GROWN MAN CRY LOL.
snowshine
I love the album version, the acoustic is good too but the album version I think is a bit better.
crazyduckette
I think I prefer the more raw sound of the acoustic version, definitely. :)

Kind of like what happens on The Hardest Part when the rough guitar kicks in... Hmm. I think I'll... I'll listen to it again! I agree, the melody doesn't come through as much on the album version. But I love the feel of the album version it's so upbeat! :D I'm not too fussed about Reign of Love, it doesn't really go anywhere. Maybe Reign of Love will be a grower for me

winigwl
if the acoustic was on the album it might be the best one. but the original isnt though it kicks ass
Viva La Violet Hill
i love the album version, i love how grand and beautiful the song sounds.
ApproximatelyInfinite
acoustic for me, but that might change in the coming weeks. that one just blew me away completely, while the album version "only" gave me that familiar blooming feeling when i heard it. i think the album version just gets me a little more, puts a better little movie in my mind for now. IneedYou23
I really like the studio version.I think Chris' voice doesnt sound quite like the it does on the other studio tracks. It sounds a bit more raw i think.I love it when Johnnys guitar kicks in!! mountainloafers
While I like them both there is something about the intimate nature of the accoustic version that wins out for me. I MUCH prefer the accoustic version of Lost to the studio version as well.

crazydrummer5
It's too close to call for me. I think it really depends on your mood in comparing the acoustic and studio versions. The studio version is so atmospheric and is so joyous while the acoustic has more emotion to me. I could go for either at any time but i think if i wanted to connect with the lyrics more, i'd go for the acoustic.
blackchickintheback
Don't make me choose! :bigcry: Ok, ok. If i HAD to choose I would say the album version, because it's all bubbly and awesome. But the acoustic version is more laid back and lovey dovey. :nice:
froglenn
The acoustic version of Lovers in Japan is in my opinion the best song on the album, it's even surpassed Viva La Vida for me. I absolutely love how it takes the rhythm of Sleeping Sun and the general feeling of Til Kingdom Come (which is my fav Coldplay song of all time in case you are wondering). Chris's voice on this version is tops as well, I like it much more than the album version where he seems to be running out of breath or straining for high notes which aren't necessarily needed, as the acoustic version shows. Perhaps it's just me, but I find that removing the album version of Lovers in Japan / Reign of Love and having the acoustic version in its stead works really well in that it's not overly loud/too fast paced like the rest of the album and acts as the 'heart' of the album as I think the band intended Reign of Love to be. This is no slight on Reign of Love, but the acoustic version is Coldplay doing what Coldplay does best, making MUCH more with MUCH less.
