i'm right there with u. i got lovers in japan just cuz i heard it from the jimmy kimmel thing but i'm not getting anything else until the album comes out. It's going to be amazing. So many differences already between viva la vida, violet hill and lovers

i have only listend to VH and VLV. waiting for a beach trip in a few weeks to bust out the album then - makes better memories when you hear the songs from then on.

 

i'm huge on listening to albums for the first time in a memorable or ideal setting/situation - i can always reference when i first heard the song and I want it to be a great memory, not just sitting at my computer listening to a leak on a wed. afternoon.

it's very hard keeping yourself from listening esp. when everyone is talking about how awesome it is. Man Yes is the sexiest....

I'm not dying cause I already got to hear two of their new songs...but it is difficult when you get on here and a lot of people are talking about the new songs. I will be happy when I get my cd and can listen to all of it in its entirety without having heard everything already. So it will be new! I mean what would be the use in buying the cd later anyways, if I already heard everything?

 

I still buy cds and don't always download mp3s. Even if I can download it all from itunes, I still want the cd if I am going to listen to all of the songs.

Yer, i listened to Lovers, just cos I pretty much already had. But that's it.

I don't want to spoil the "film" experience of the album.

But it is BLOODY hard, i even went to listen to 42 on youtube..then forced myself to quit out of it....i ran away from the computer in frustration lol.

I don't believe the fun is over once the album is out. With each of the other albums, i loved waiting for them and then also just cherishing them for ages and ages.

I still get a kick from Parachutes..and that was like...8years ago??

I gave up and gave in. I have to say... accapting that I have no self restraint was totally worth hearing the album early.

I get some sick and twisted pleasure out of waiting for albums to drop before I listen to them....lol kinda creepy.

 

Can't wait 'til I walk through the god forsaken doors of Wal-Mart on June 17th at 12:00 AM to buy Viva La Vida, go back to my house, put it in my sweet sound system, and BLAST IT.

Ha, anyone left? I have and am continuing to refrain from d/ling for a few reasons:

 

-spyware or whatever the heck comes along with those files from sabotaging my computer

-crappy quality of the files. sometimes it just ruins the song for me.

-building up the anticipation!

-don't want to go through the trouble lol. I'm feeling lazy.

I'm still here! I'm still holding out!!! Today is the...5th..hav to wait til 14th...9 days to go!!! O i can do it i'm sure! Why did it have to leak so early!!?? *cries*

Makes life so much tougher, but it will pay off!! Can't wait to that morning to run down and buy the album and then play 20x straight lol.

Still holding out, playing games in the Arcade to pass the time.

 

I hope that in a bitter twist of irony, the leak is actually Justin Timberlake impersonating Chris Martin, and the real version is even better than this version already apparently is.

I'm with yea. To me the whole experience is waiting till that day to buy the album, then run out to the car, and immediately pop it in... O man I can't wait!

I think my ears are physically hurting because I want to hear Viva La Vida so badly.

I'm listening to The Police to get away from it all. Something totally different to keep my mind off it lol!

I'm with you! I want the excitement of listening to the actual cd... But i'm gonna have it on my hard drive just incase i change my mind...

I, of course am still waiting. I'm not finding it too difficult. What is really getting to me is waiting for the tour. I've bought my ticket for 8 July. I'm SO excited. I think the itunes commercial is what pushed me to get it.

 

So, I'm waiting for that, and also trying to find a way to buy a single day pass for Lollapalooza to see fuckin' radiohead.

 

And in the meantime, I'm listening to two songs; Violet Hill (which I downloaded for free), and Viva la Vida (which I've been looping on Youtube).
