why do so many people dislike Reign of Love? I think it is amazing!!!

@ beterthanyou

Yes, he CAN, but he won't because he's not gay.

you on the other hand... can you just leave please.

this is a great day, and there's no way you can spoil it.

you'll not win today.

Well, this thread has gone a bit off topic, hasn't it? :P

1. Life In Technicolor - 9

2. Cemeteries Of London - 8

3. Lost! - 8

4. 42 - 8

5. Lovers Of Japan - 9/Reign Of Love - 7

6. Yes - 10

7. Viva La Vida - 8

8. Violet Hill - 7

9. Strawberry Swing - 8

10. Death And All His Friends - 8

8.4 overall.

Life In Technicolor - 8.4 (Perfect intro for the album, low rating cause its not an actual song yet)

Cemeteries Of London - 8.9 (I love the melody and the vocal arrangement for the chorus, not one of the best songs though)

Lost! - 9.5 (Great lyrics, drums are classic, the guitar solo is my favorite lick on the album)

42 - 9.4 (Yup, that was a three part dedication to The Beatles and Radiohead. And it was very well done)

Lovers In Japan - 9.5 (The piano is absolutely lovely, I wish this song went on forever haha)

Reign Of Love - 9.2 (More piano shenanigans, is it on a delay effect? Who cares, its awesome)

~ (LIJ/ROL - 10) (The best combo on the album. Period.)

Yes - 9.1 (Killer orchestral sounds. Whoever arranged this song went the extra mile.Oh, and Chris is in a vocal register I've never even heard before)

Chinese Sleep Chant - 8.7 (If the lyrics were brought through a little bit more then this would have been a really cool song. Possibly a single. The guitars are nice though)

~ (Yes/CSC - 9.3) (This combo is missing something. Maybe piano? I dunno)

Viva La Vida - 9.3 (The first half of the album title lives up to its name, this song is epic the way it is but its missing some love from the band as a whole)

Violet Hill - 8.8 (Great track, but I could never really get into this one. I bet it would make a killer acoustic track though)

Strawberry Swing - 9.2 (Vocals and the guitar are perfect together, drums are still chugging along at this point in the album at I'm still loving it. I think this one could grow on me so maybe I need a few more listens)

Death And All His Friends - 9.6 (Love this song. This is the new Coldplay in my eyes. Listen to the end in headphones. I gives me chills)

The Escapist - 8.9 (LIT with lyrics? Cool. And thats about it haha. No in all seriousness I like how they opened and finished the album with the same synthy feel)

~ (DAAHF/Escapist - 9.7) (These two flow well and end the album in style. Probably the best finale compared to the other albums)

Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends: 9.6

When Chris said driving music, he wasn't kidding. I could drive around all day with this album in my car. AND listen all the way through. But this is only my first opinion, an opinion I need to sleep on and think about. So technically, this is just my first impression. And a good one at that. Its not AROBTTH, its not Parachutes, and its definitely NOT X&Y. Its VLVODAAHF, and so far its fucking awesome.

so i'm getting into the album and then the computer guy comes cause my computers been sucking lately and so he takes it away and now i can't listen to the album for a few days :bigcry:

:stunned: so like... how are you online right now?

is this delayed? :uhoh:

different computer.

see my completely spoiled school gives each student a laptop for the year. seems pretty cool (and spoiled) but isnce a school laptop there are so many restrictions that its more of a hassel than a benefit. so i'm on this laptop, but any uploading sight would be blocked

oh.... well get somebody off here to send the songs over msn??

I'd do it, but my sending files takes AGES, it took me a good half hour nearly to send "Lost!" to Indya.

Somebody will do it for you!

pancakes obviously

The whole album all the way through thing

I don't know if it's just me but I remember Chris saying that the album was meant to be heard as a whole and agreeing with him at the time because I think the art of the album has been lost in most modern music.

Either way, I've listened to every song off the album 4 times now, and each of those plays has been in its correct place alongside everything else. I think it will take a long time until I break the tracklisting or skip a song on this album.

it's a shame htis important thread has such a shit poll (no offense)

How would he download MSN?

Official opinion: I can die right now, and I'll be happy with it, because I've heard Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends.

WOW.

I've...this was incredible. I really can't describe it with any other word, unless they're synonyms. In terms of pure enjoyability (that's a word now), I say this is the best album, for me. It's so....different, so varied, so multi-colored, and at the same time, it's just so...good.

Let's see...scoring:

Life in Techicolor - 9

Cemetaries of London - 10

Lost! - 10

42 - 9.5

Lovers In Japan - 10

Reign of Love - 8

Yes - 10

Chinese Sleep Chant - 9.5

Viva La Vida - 10

Violet Hill - 10

Strawberry Swing - 10

Death and All His Friends -10

The Escapist - 8

Reign of Love and The Escapist were just too short to expand too far, but I still love them regardless...just slighty less than the others. Very slightly.

I'm going to spaz now.

OMFGTHISISFUCKINGAWESOMEYOUGUYS!!#@!$@!$kdslsadljhdsusjhfgtduerr8093274w9ri@!#5

I always skip Reign Of Love. Everything else is amazing :D

Agreed.

Death And All OF His Friends, Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant, Lovers In Japan, Centemeters Of London and Viva La Vida are the best. No worst.

I don't know why people don't like Reign Of Love. I think it's beautiful...the piano is so nice, it's a nice intermission from all the heavier songs.

Chris should have just changed the Strawberry Swing lyrics to "It's such a perfect album" because that's the damned truth. :D

Not as many B-Sides as You think.

I remember that before the official track listing for VLVODAAHF was announced, we had a long list of song names. One of them being "Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground."

Well, in "Strawberry Swing", Chris sings that very song title in a line which leaves me to believe that some of the song titles we were given are not additional songs, but alternate titles.

I may be wrong, but what if this is true?

I don't know if anyone has already said this.

yes, that's exactly why i like it! it's just a light, good break from the heavier, darker stuff like cemetaries, 42, yes, etc.
