Damn, I thought we were gonna see him in the Premier League.

if city and utd were still in the EC they would have met in the final based on the draws ... that would have been nice... pity
Utd would not have made it even to the Q/Fs on their current European form, the only way they would have reached the final is if they got a bye for every round!

I watched Chelsea, dull in the first half but quite a bit better in the 2nd. Madrid highlights are on tomorrow.

By the way I watched the Chelsea match on Fox Sports in yankeeland, and some of your analysts are fucking annoying, mainly the presenter though, it's like he had no grasp of football whatsoever, eg Fernando Torres did well to control a ball, get around 2 defenders and drag back to a shooting position on his left foot, but blasted way over, and the presenter was just like "What more can you say? Awful! Haha".

Or the analysts were afraid to give opinions, one was like "I know there's a lot of Benfica fans out there so don't hate me or cause a twitstorm but in the 1st half they've been average" what the fuck is that? Pundits caring so desperately what viewers think about them? Pathetic.

Haha, you're referring to the american analysts during halftime and such? Yeah, I saw the same game through that network, and I never bother to stick around because the comments are usually obvious and vacuous. ESPN is probs technically better, though I rather not stomach alexi lalas any more than I have to.

Semi finals

Liverpool vs Everton

Spurs vs Chelsea

Same as last year its a disgrace semi finals are played at wembley, espically for Liverpool everton, it would be far much more pratical if this was held at Old Trafford. The paying fan suffers more than ever.

I prefer that American network that doesn't have an intro analysis, at half time it just shows random goals from last season, and at full time the program ends abruptly.

I don't know what that was but nobody cares what you think.

GolTV? I don't get it myself, but Ray Hudson is the greatest commentator ever.

Barca denied a clear penalty.

I don't know which miss was worse, Loic Remy slicing the ball into the side netting after a rebound, or Robinho fucking up a volley that should have been very easy to control. It would definitely be Remy if he wasn't a bit off balance, but amazed there hasn't been a goal yet in either game.

Barca should have had a penalty, Ibra and Alexis Sanchez have both been practically through on goal, and Xavi almost scored after a great move, I thought Barca vs Milan would be a lot tighter, it's open and fun to watch.

Gotta feel for reserve keeper Andrade, but he should have really just stood up to that shot instead of trying to make a ridiculous dive. 1-0 to Bayern, Mario Gomez yet again.

the millan barca game is very good ...

Robben with a nice goal to make it 2-0, is Marseille don't score soon they have a hell of a challenge going back to Munich. Remy could have scored earlier after a stupid mistake by a Bayern defender.

Typical. The one time I decide to watch Barca, they cant score. We almost signed M Gomez in January last year. Now it's clear why Bayern wouldn't let him go.

Gomez could be anyone, he's the new Luca Toni. He's not necessarily terrible but he certainly is not a gifted footballer, he's surrounded by players who are great at delivering, when you have Ribery, Muller, Robben etc. around you it's a hell of a lot easier. Most of his goals are tap ins, and although he does put some half chances away nicely its because he's full of confidence.

He'd do worse then Carroll at Liverpool, and that's saying something.

I'll go with Benzema's missed sitter.

Hahaha! I'll go with that too, just talked to someone about that. It's a good thing he scored twice, otherwise Jose would have him pulling a tractor all week in training.

Saw the Madrid highlights after I made that post.

The FA Cup semi-finals should be at Old Trafford and The Millennium having them at Wembley spoils it a bit but then again I suppose the FA need all the money they can get to pay off the building costs.

Isn't it good that Wembley is being used for the semi finals? It represents the magnitude of the occasioon. There would be no point having Wembley if we were gonna use other stadiums. I think Man Utd would have had something to say about Old Trafford being used too.

I wont argue with that. I've never seen him play. I just always hear that he keeps scoring.

The semi-finals have historically been played all over the country plus it takes away from reaching the final and going to Wembley when you've already been there.
