Hey guys. I've been busy with work and haven't been able to keep updated. Similarly, after a quick search, I have seen no updated information about a VLV video or any other song video. Are we going to get one? I know it's not an official single, but how can music television programs play the song if there is no video? The last I hear there was a set date to shoot. Can anyone update me / everyone else who's wondering.

Yes, we are. The answer we've gotten is "soon" as to when it'll be released, but I think any sooner and it's too late.

It's all abit too late now I think for a Viva La Vida video. It was number one weeks ago and by the time the video comes out it might not even be in the charts anymore unless they re-release it. That's not saying I don't want a Viva La Vida video, bring it on :dance:

I agree it might be too late for a VLV vid since the song has already shot up to the top of the charts. It's not very clever timing on their part. But I still want them to release a video anyway! The iTunes commercial was snazzy; I hope the official vid would be great as well.

I've been told by an EMI insider that there will be a VLV digital bundle release at the end of August. The video may accompany it then :)

thats kind of ridiculous, i mean the song will be way out of the charts by then probably, it certainly wont be top 20 or so, so why would they do the video then. they really should do it soon, because the dip is beginning to happen, and a new video would increase attention again.

 

if august is the case, when are they going to release other singles? there's only so much time you can wait for it to still be popular. i think part of the reason thats part of the reason they tend to only have two big songs per album, they wait to long to release the third. talk video wasnt too late, but hardest part was just way way way too late.

Yeah, end of August seems a bit late, and to anyone else the song might be 'old news'. :\ But hopefully this will relaunch the song to greater proportions! :D

yeah, august is WAY to late. I think they could keep VLV up there for a few more weeks with a killer video. Just think of all the television time it would get. Then they could release another single in a few weeks. LIJ & Lost! should be singles and one needs to be released relatively soon. Heck, I'd even release SS at some point!

Good point on Strawberry Swing--I really think it could be the song of the album this year. Let's be honest, the song was practically made for summer. Release it now!!

I know it would be released on July, 18th with a cd (two tracks, one is the song, the other is the video)...

Is this going to be limited edition or anything? I really hope not because Im on holiday at the end of August and if I miss this then I will go CRAZY! Cant wait though, but I do think August is pushing it a bit... :thinking:

According to EMI Brazil's website (the same one who posted the VLV cover before the rest of the world) the VLV video will be ready around July 25th and must reach TV stations in August (the article refers to Brazilian TV stations, where videos arrivals are usually delayed, so we have big chances of getting the video in the end of July/beggining of August)! :D

So not long to go :D
