2009 North American Tour ... presale???

Featured Replies

Wow, the tickets for MO went fast. I refreshed too many times and watched the available seats go from row MM to row ZZ in 10 minutes. Then something in FF opened up and I was in such a rush, I didn't notice my two seats are 47 and 49!! How did that happen? I hope whoever has seat #48 will be able to switch with me when the time comes!

WEIRD.

does anyone know any presale codes or passwords?!! i don't understand how to find those :( how stressful this is

Same here Emmbeedee, I had a similar experience. Ended up settling for seats in Dallas, section DDD. It's way up top, only about 4 rows from the lawn, but the seats are reserved and the view should be decent. Plus, these amphitheaters hold far less people than the arenas do, so even if you're up top, you're probably closer than similar seats in a jam-packed arena.

My thoughts on the view too and the actual place to sit!

this is my first coldplay concert, so I'm just excited to be going!

Now all I have to do is find a place to stay! It's a 5 hour drive from where I live!

I may take a peek tomorrow when the general sale starts, just to see what's available. I've checked back a few times and the seats available keep getting farther back and over on the sides.

Novah, are your tickets on the Upper Left? If so they are odd numbered, the Upper Right is even numbered. You seats are together! I printed out a venue map yesterday.

Oh! Fantastic! :D Where did you find a map that showed that? The one on the website is virtually unreadable.

I'm a little sad, though. I was already starting to imagine what my new friend in seat #48 would be like. Oh well.

I can only get lawn and section 200 seats for the Dallas show.

I'm not happy at all.

I was looking forward to getting section 100-102 seats.. No one else can seem to get them either.

I'll try again tomorrow.. very disappointed though.

Ditto.

so the truth comes out, presale gets you decent seats if you're early, normal gets you a little worse seats, where the flipping hell are the front sections? all the brokers have them on their sites for sale already. how? wouldn't coldplay want their die hard fans up front on the shows? dave matthews band has the warehouse where i used to (quit listening a few years ago) get front row seats as a member. i don't get it.

Keep trying! I was only getting ZZ (the last row before lawn) but after a couple more refreshes, row FF opened up. Not sure how it happened! :stunned:

It was the 2D view. It was a bit more readable after I printed it out. I could at least make out the numbers.

You'll have to make do with the friend in #45! :D

Maybe it'll be YOOOU! **HUG**

Well, crap! I just checked back and now some lower seats are available, over on the right side!

I hope some of us will get to meet up before the show!!

That's why I don't like Ticketmaster. They realized everyone was scalping seats to their shows years back, so they sponsored these ticket broker sites, and are basically scalping their own seats and pocketing the cash. I don't believe for one second that all these seats go to tehe promoters or sponsors. I'm sure TM kicks some "to the side" for these sister sites to sell for $400 each and the money goes back to TM. Sickening....

Thought people might want to know this:

I tried testing out the Ticketrush site for tickets again just a while ago. There seems to be a new setup listing shows having presales today but the same login isn't the same one I've been using the last few days.

However, if you go directly to the Livenation site, you can still click on the link that says TickeRush Presale in your show's tab. The same presale code on the TicketRush site still works. Just a rearrangement of things today. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Coldplay or just the plain timing of things.

still waiting in line for tickets....being half asleep helps being zen :)

SECTION 3, BABY! Hell FUCKING yeah!!!!!!!!!

By the way, what the hell happened with Ticket Rush for Mansfield?!?! Thank god I told my mom to have both Live Nation and Ticket Rush up, because they never went on sale on Ticket Rush! And now when you type in ticketrush.com it takes you straight to Live Nation...

But my friend ended up with lawn seats because it took her so long to get from ticketrush.com to livenation.com at 10AM once she realized that something was wrong (she didn't have both sites up)...

^^^Congrats Zoe! Only you and another guy in San Diego got orchestra seats!

(Hint: both of you are going on your own)

Well of course Ticket Rush won't sell tickets. It only gives you the password, which you use on Live Nation (or Ticketmaster if your concert is selling there too)

What row in Section 3 did you end up getting?? (For Mansfield, right?)

I managed to somehow grab a pair together in row Z of section 3. Still don't know how that happened, but after a careful inspection of the way their rows are set up, that's 19th row! Which is FRIGHTENINGLY good for grabbing them from Live Nation! Now comes the really hard part...waiting 6 months!

I ended up getting Row N in the Orchestra for San Diego which is the last row in that section but im still only 14 rows from the stage...i can only imagine how close that acutally is? AHHH i cant wait!!

can anyone help me? i signed up for live nation and added coldplay and toronto venues in my favorites but i still don't understand how to get the password for presale. i thought it was a monthly password live nation gave out to its members but i haven't gotten it and have been looking on their site for a while now.
