Black Rose
:laugh4: Yeah, they all have at least 2 votes. Figure that should be enough.  Oh and David, one question: Will we be voting in the matchups by posting? Or through a poll. And if it is through the poll can we make it public and only count real people votes? Posting in the thread, so for example the match-up is Album 1 vs. Album 2, to vote you just need to post and highlight the one your voting for in some way (bolding, italies, underlining, deleting the other album etc). Black Rose
26 hours left to get your lists in or to edit your lists if you have a change of heart etc :)
Tnspieler1012
I just skimmed through the thread, and I'm pretty sure we don't have 32 albums with at least 2 nominations (only 20-25 I think). Obviously there are a lot more than 32 different albums nominated altogether, so if you don't get a sudden influx of lists in the next 24, how will we/you go about picking the albums with only one vote? (more strategic voting than an accurate portrayal of my favs). Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights Arcade Fire - Neon Bible Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes U2 - Achtung Baby David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
deaths_friend
wow briggins Neon Bible over Funeral. i never knew u liked it more than the debut!! Â i was initially going to put Neon Bible because in all honesty it is my favourite out of the two. but i thought my vote for Funeral would go further. Tnspieler1012
^I'm pretty sure he prefers Funeral, but he's not voting for it because it already has enough votes. He's being very strategic...guess that's why he waited this long.
Darlene_Ihnfsa
:uhoh: i thought to run a similar thing for the album of the decade and finally do all decades battle on the last thread.... i guess that's a better idea for next year (since first XXI century decade will finish) well i see a lot of people has nominated: Coldplay, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, so they don't need any help.... nominate 5 album of all time is not an easy thing to do... anyways here goes my list.  Pink Floyd - Dark side of the moon Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Architecture & Morality Bob Marley - Exodus Led Zeppelin - Coda I would had nominated other albums by those bands... My list is of oldies because no doubt that if some oldie band didn't had existed then surely some actual bands would had never be formed and since is an albums of all time, i find it more logical to nominate oldie than new bands. :) edit: good list Briggs, i was about to nominate Ziggy album too :o
Navegador
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Genesis - Foxtrot Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Yes - Going For The One King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King Progressive Rock, PERIOD. But yeah, those picks were strategic votes like Chris said :P
MrMagpie
:uhoh:  edit: good list Briggs, i was about to nominate Ziggy album too :o haha, I wanted to throw on an older album that I loved. squareonefivesix
I take it voting closes midnight tonight....if it was midnight last night, well then, just ignore me... I can't pick any stuff that's too recent - it has to have stood the test of time for me.. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses Parachutes - Coldplay Revolver - The Beatles Beautiful Freak - The Eels Hup - The Wonder Stuff if this was battle of favourite albums of this week - then my list would be completely different

Black Rose
Just over 100 minutes left to get your votes in or make any final changes to your lists before I put my calculating hat on and total up the votes and get the awfully hard decision to cast any deciding votes. Tnspieler1012
^As I was asking earlier. Will you just use a random picker like this? http://classtools.net/main_area/template_loader.php/?fruit_machine
Black Rose
Once all 32 albums have been nominated, they will be sorted alphabetically before I visit this lovely random site (http://www.random.org/sequences/). Firstly one lot will be drawn to give the 32 albums their unique number and then a 2nd lot will be drawn to determine which album will face it off against which album, and the placing those numbers come up will determine that albums route to the final 4 using a layout like this: http://www.uk8ball.com/downloads/32se.pdf :)
