April 5, 200917 yr The Battle of your favourite albums of all time (2009 edition) Right we have had a "what's coldplayers favourite album" style threads before, but all of those required people to make up lists of what their favourites albums were and put them into some order, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. However it's been a couple years since the last one and I'm trying a similar format I used for the battle of the musical acts in 2007. The format 32 albums will be selected to go forward into a comic over sized hat and will be drawn against each other, and what is needed by the lovely members is to vote which album of the match-up they like the best, or dislike the least, whatever floats your floating object. The 32 albums will be knocked down to 4 albums into the semi-finals where they will enter into a round-robin style 4-way league, the overall winner will be crowded the winner of the battle of the albums 2009, all without any lists. What is needed In the early stages we have qualification, which is pretty simple and requires you lovely people to nominate up-to 5 albums you feel deserve to face-off in the battle, they don't need to be in any order and they can be any album you like (live albums, greatest hits etc). What happens next? After the nominations come in and once the deadline passes (23:59 (UTC+1) on the 18th April) the albums will be put into a list and the top 32 albums will go into the hat and the draw shall be made. Each round will last around 1 week, normally going up on a sunday to end the following saturday night. Yes Can you vote for Chris De Burgh albums? why would you want to do that? what happens in the event of a tie? April 5, 200917 yr personally i dont think its a good idea to include radiohead or coldplay. it is very very obvious that the final 4 albums will be only coldplay and radiohead. if not coldplay only. please prove me wrong!!! i'm going to simply choose 5 albums from the last decade. there is no way i can pick out a top5 list of all time.
