I love the Winter Games. I think mostly because all the sports are so foreign to me. Where I live is flat and never snows. So strapping some boards to your feet and going 100 MPH down a mountain is just fucking crazy ass shit! And with the exception of Curling it looks like almost every sport there making the slightest mistake could seriously fuck you up. Summer sports are for pussies! :P

and yeah I watched the figure skating, it was pretty cool! the russian was amazing

u.s. curling team has yet to win. Women lost by a fraction of centimeter on the last shot, and Schuster had a draw to win that was six inches too heavy. tough luck.

But I think that whole race was crazy ... I almost screamed here when Anja Pärson fell. What a shock.

Too bad Maria Riesch, our German hope, couldn't show her best.

The German moderators started a huge discussion about how this course was probably way too dangerous. I don't know, I think those girls pretty much know what they're doing and what they're risking ...

But still, I know people who's been delirious after small falls, like repeating the same things without stopping, so go figure when someone fells on such a race :\

Yeah, Anja Pärson's fall looked really bad and I hope she will still be able to compete during these games ... but I doubt it.
