Anyone want kids?

Featured Replies

Yeah, I want to have kids. But not just yet as I'd first like to graduate and get a job to become more financially stable. And find a guy, of course.

Most of the population increase is probably due to less of a moral value...my mom said once that people just don't fear God anymore and don't believe in the whole 'sex after marriage' thing. (I come from a very religious family. :freak:)
Funny enough, people here had loads of children at the beginning of 20th century. It was, among other things, connected to religion and the belief that they'll have as many children as God wants. :uhoh:

Edit: please ignore my bad syntax. Thank you.

Kids suck.

That's what Mark said.

No, but the real problem isn't people in the US having less babies, it's getting rid of all the Catholics that tell people to have 12 kids and giving Asians some fucking condoms already.

Those damn Asians.

Take our condoms away, the Germans are dying out.

^^You damn racist

I bet you don't want kids because you can't get any.. Ooohhh.

:P

Anyway, yea, sure I want babies. Maybe two.

Or three, by accident.

I heard sex is more fun without protection.

I'm not racist, I was kidding, but I do hate Asians.

My ex kept talking about having children when she was intoxicated, that was always an annoying topic of conversation to get around.

And yeah, sex is a lot better (For the guy anyway) without protection. I don't see how it would make much of a difference for the lady, a little bit more stimulation maybe.

^Haha I was just kidding. I can see why you feel that way.

And well, sex will be more enjoyable with both party having equal fun.

Maybe it's even worth the extra baby you'll get.

Personally, I don't want children, even though I'd love to have one with the right woman, but it seems a bit selfish, as it will contribute to the death of earth.

:o Don't you think you are overracting?! *no offence*

I don't really believe that the population "crisis" is that dangerous. Actually it depends on where on earth you look. The population might be increasing in poor countries but if you look in Europe, for instance, the population is clearly declining causing loads of problems ! So I think the real problem may be the distribution of the population rather than a global increase in population.

So you can have a child, that won't contribute to the death of earth ;) !

PS : I hope there are not too many english mistakes in this.

We can solve the population problem by putting Octomom and Kate Gosselin on birth control. Oh, and the Duggards.

Like I said above, the world's population was at a steady 2 billion for many centuries, in the 20th it went up to nearly 7. By 2050 that's going to be more then double.

We simply don't have the resources to cope.

Maybe it's even worth the extra baby you'll get.

What a sentence!

I want kids someday and I might adopt so I wont contribute to the population crisis :awesome:

Probably not, I am fairly certain I'd be a terrible father and leave my kid with a social anxiety, unable to interact properly with society and resent me for it.

Personally, I don't want children, even though I'd love to have one with the right woman, but it seems a bit selfish, as it will contribute to the death of earth.

I understand where you're coming from. I've got a little different perspective in regard to the selfish bit, but I know what you mean.

I don't have a burning desire to have kids now, I would be fine if I never had one. But I look at it from the future sense of "regret", because I never want to live with regret. So I think, if I'm 60, would I more regret not having kids, or would I more regret having kids? I think I would more regret not having kids, so I will probably try to have one at some point before my eggs get all dry and crusty. It is selfish (in my case) in the sense that I wouldn't be doing it out of a desire to have a kid, but out of a desire to not have regret in the future.

But if I never have a kid, I won't think that I've failed as a human being or anything. Procreation isn't a requirement.

yes. i would like another kid. the current one is getting close to adulthood, so i need another one to drive me crazy for another 18 years. i want to be totally insane by the time i retire.

Kids are lame. I don't even want to get married...so therefore, I will never have kids :P

The World is definatly facing a population crisis, it can't naturally support 6 billion people yet alone more, the main reason it is at the moment is the use of farming techniques involving pesticides and machinery etc that rely on oil, you have to ask yourself what's really going to happen when the world oil supply starts to wane and becomes prohibitvly expensive to use?.

People will now say, oh the scientists will figure something out by then, but come on, at the moment there's no end in sight for the use of oil, is it a world you really want to bring kids into?, well I have major concerns about doing so but then I would really like children so it's kind of conflicting.

I'm not sure. I definitely don't want kids anytime soon. My boyfriend doesn't like kids which would be an issue if I wanted to have children someday.
