Average FIFA ranking of each group:

Group A 31.25, Group B 5.75, Group C 9.75, Group D 23.25.

Lowest ranked team by #FIFA in Group B (Denmark at 11) is ranked higher than the highest ranked team from Group A (Russia at 12)

We're doomed :(

Here's the schedule, although I think the QFs are not numbered in order. Either that or the Semi Finals are wrong

I agree

aww group B is the tough one .... france-england can't wait to see this game!

Germany - Spain : final game!

:inquisitive: oh, I'm a german football fan!

Group D... group of death... death to the frenchies!! :) Ooops, did I say that out loud? :P

Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal, Germany. Great... :worried2:

Portugal had so many difficulties to qualify for the finals draws and now with this group I can't be optimist... :|

Just close down Ronaldo and Portugal are not very good

Just close down Ronaldo and Portugal are not very good

agree. also Germany is very strong this year with Mesut and other young footballers.

Holland had a good chance, but now with Germany in the group .... :worried2:

Oh boy ....

at least, luckily they start to play against Danmark. Then they can warm up and at least win the first match :wreck:

I've put my money on Germany winning it this year, so most likely they will go out in the first round :(

Mario Balotelli will walk off if abused at Euro 2012

Manchester City and Italy striker Mario Balotelli has threatened to walk off the pitch if he is racially abused at Euro 2012, which kicks off next week.

Balotelli added he would "kill" anyone who dared throw a banana at him in the street.

A recent BBC Panorama programme revealed cases of racism and anti-Semitism in football grounds in host nations Poland and Ukraine.

"If [racism] does happen I would leave the pitch and go home," said Balotelli.

"Racism is unacceptable to me, I cannot bear it. We are in 2012, it can't happen.

"If someone throws a banana at me in the street, I will go to prison because I will kill him."

The Panorama programme showed fans making Nazi salutes on the terraces, black players being taunted with monkey chants and a vicious assault on a group of Asian students.

Former England captain Sol Campbell advised fans not to travel, suggesting they would be risking their lives if they did so.

Ukraine's Euro 2012 director Markian Lubkivsky said Campbell's remarks were "insolent".

Former Inter Milan striker Balotelli, 21, was regularly the target of racist abuse when playing in Italy.

In an interview with France Football, Balotelli also said he believes he is a genius.

"I think I am a genius, but not a rebel," he said. "I have my life, my world. I do what I want, without annoying anyone.

"I believe I am more intelligent than the average person.

"The talent God gave me is beautiful and wonderful, but it is difficult because you are always facing other people keen to judge you.

"There are few people with such talent, so there are few able to judge what I am doing."

Euro 2012: England's Frank Lampard suffers training injury

England's Frank Lampard will undergo a thigh scan on Thursday after pulling up in training.

The 33-year-old Chelsea midfielder will be assessed by England's medical team.

Liverpool's Jordan Henderson, 21, has been put on standby as cover while Lampard is monitored.

England's final Euro 2012 warm-up match is against Belgium at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Roy Hodgson's team beat Norway 1-0 on Saturday in Oslo with an Ashley Young goal.

Euro 2012: Gary Cahill ruled out with fractured jaw, Liverpool's Martin Kelly has been called up as his replacement, subject to Uefa's approval.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18311737

WTF is Hodgson doing?! Calling up players from his old squad, yes the same squad that flumped in the premier league. :whatever: I can just about understand Rio's exclusion, perhaps not anymore, but what's wrong with Micah Richards? Even Danny Simpson or Ryan Taylor, excellent seasons at NUFC.

If Terry can't make it either is he going to try and coax Carragher out of retirement?!!

After a long season they're being battered with high-intensity training and useless friendlies...

They don't need either.

Result: Cahill out, Lampard out. Englands chances - if there were any - of even getting through the group stages, rapidly diminishing!

FA profiteering tossers!

i hate the euros ... and the world cup...

just hope our players dont get injured... or potential players

Can't we just keep this in the general football thread? It's a bit pointless and stupid, eventually the Champions League thread finally just stopped being used and we used the football one.

"If [racism] does happen I would leave the pitch and go home," said Balotelli.

Sounds easy enough.

Really like the US Espn Euro 2012 promos with "Charlie Brown" in it
